There was a wonderful little BBC short series on the wonders of space, aired a few years ago. Narrated by Sam Neill, only 30 mins per episode, it's worth watching for space enthusiasts. The episodes, with links: 1. "Star Stuff" - on the origin of the universe, stars, and the solar system. 2. "Staying Alive" - the luck of planet Earth and how it could be destroyed at any moment by black holes, comets, and asteroids. 3. "Black Holes" - the destructive force that may eventually destroy the Milky Way galaxy. 4. "Are We Alone?" - the possibilities of extraterrestrial life and human contact with it. 5. "New Worlds" - terraforming and humanity's colonisation of other planets. 6. "Boldly Go" - humanity's journey into far space
It's because the USA likes altering shows for no good reason. Still can't believe they got rid of David Attenborough's commentary for Planet Earth.
