I've yet to mee anyone, but @TKO wrote me about the Wf shenanigans when I was in boot camp, and @Volpone wrote me one that got forwarded to my tech school three weeks after graduation from basic with some words of wisdom. I bush his balls for the idiot routine he's chosen lately, but that was pretty legit. And until I joined the Navy, I lived an hour away in either direction from Paladin and Face.

I just recent found out that @Archangel and I were both in Yokosuka as roughly the same time. He's probably bought shit on the Fitzgerald ship's store from me and I didn't know!

I vaugely remember a Teya from TBBS...a Voyager fan that actually shipped Chakotay/Seven--openly, even! . I only remember this because I invited her to post some fanfic on a webpage I was trying to make around 2004 and she decline 'cuz of some off the cuff shipper joke I made. But considering how the fandom was, I can't say I blamed her.

I also remember she was getting outta a shitty relationship. I hope she'd found a much better husband than her first.

I would have loved to, but the only free time I had was to swing into Irvine to take a picture of me in front of Blizzard Entertainment, then turn around and drive my little sister to Chinatown and promptly get caught in post-game Dodger Stadium traffic after I dropped her off at her friend's place.

Shit, if you swing by SoCal after November, I won't be going out to sea anymore before the end of my enlistment, and we could totally arrange something. I wouldn't mind visitng the Japanese curry place Cocos in Irvine...the one there is even better than the one I'd go to in Japan.

Like I said, anytime anybody is up for a drink or twenty in NYC I'd love to meet-up. Maybe get garamet to cough up some Trek gossip.
