Oldfella, here's another thing you can do. Go to your nearest corner store, and a lot of them now will have pre-paid credit cards. I know Mastercard makes one. I think Visa does now too. You can buy a certain balance on them, say, $50 or $100. You then can use this particular credit card for online transactions. If you end up buying from a site that is't legit, the worst that can happen is they take your total on the pre-paid card. Also, see if your credit card company has some sort of online fraud protection. Some of them carry insurance for these types of situations, but if you just use the pre-paid method like that outlined above, you won't really have to worry about fraud protection on your regular credit card. I saw this on the local news not too long ago. It's not only your parents who fell for it, but a lot of other people too. I am glad my parents call me if anything at all looks suspicious, as they would be a ripe target for these scumbags. May all scammers suffer tormenting gut rot as they are anally violated by giant demons with Klingon sized ridged penises for ten thousand years.
DAMN! Great idea. I didn't know this. Anywho, Muad, for your information I only buy watches off street vendors in Seoul Korea. Nothing like a Rolecks I always say! And did you know Eric Clapton has a sister? Yes, Erica Crapton, and she sounds just like him too.
My mother (with full knowledge) bought several fake Rolexes in Hong Kong. She was going to brush the guy off until he assured "nice American lady that they had genuine Seiko parts!" She figured a pitch that brazen ought to be rewarded!
I got a refund! Yes.....that are redeemed in my "circle of trust." They refunded the full amount into my account. :frolic:
Why anyone would look to the stock market for a smooth ride is beyond me. Here's someone who's having a good old time on this roller coaster. LINK
