    Here is the problem:

This story is great, a good cop did a good thing and saved a woman's life. The use of the term 'guardian angel' several times in the story gives it a real nice feeling, like you feel it is possible you have people watching out for you. This doesn't draw enough attention though. Understandably, this was originally presented at about 7:00 PM EST, but the amount of replies is not nearly as many as to any bad cop story.

It is the sensationalism. I can't remember who started it, but the thread that asked about all the 'bad cop' stories cropping up and why- this is the reason. It is terrific, but people like to see bloodshed and travesties a whole lot more. Bad cops sell.

I was thinking of that idiot who tried to beat a train at a crossing and killed her kids. And I swear I heard about another such incident somewhere besides this one.

What stops you from watching TV? Do you read newspapers?
