It isn't gone yet. It still has to go to the Senate.

There might be one good thing to come out of this Congress yet.

The only possible thing that would be good out of this Congress is if they all resigned and left the country.

I suspect that is what's going on...Obama is desperate for some kind of legacy and achievement to hang his hat on with 2012 looming on the horizon.

Yes...but he needs to hedge his bets with Judges making noises about it being unconstitutional and the knowledge that the majority of Americans don't want that piece of shit as it is, or at all.

Afghan war will soon be over, Obama is trying to send in the pink berets. Hopefully the senate can stop this abomination from infiltrating our military. The Democrats hate the military and have always done what ever they could to destroy it.

Hold on a second, this thing didn't pass in the House solely on the Democrats votes alone.

Secondly, these "pink berets" that you mention have always been in the military. How does this updated policy change any of that?

Because with DADT they couldn't prance around like a bunch of prom queens with a lisp. Now they can be "open" and embarrass the whole unit. That is what this is all about. Of course they won't just be allowed in, they will be given special protections. A fucking sissified military is all we need :jayzus:

If that really happens (which I seriously doubt) that isn't because of DADT, that is because of poor training and inadequate leaders within the military.

Leaders can't lead and do what it takes to straighten out a sissy with special protections given, and I bet real money that will happen first. They will be afraid some guy with a queer room mate will black his eyes the first time he makes an advance or something, so they will make laws protecting them and not the poor guy having to room with the turd burgler.

If something like this is all it takes to destroy the US military, then the US military is already destroyed.

Morale wins and loses wars. How do you think the boys in war zones are going to feel when they find out we will be sending them a bunch of tinkerbells?

If women didn't "sissify" the military, then gays sure as fuck won't.

And what makes you think an effeminate gay would even want to be a soldier?

Most gays just want to know they can join, not that they really want to enmasse. :jayzus:

I think you are off base on this one. I think you are overreacting to the reality of things. Gays are already in the military and have been serving in the military for a long time. They seem to be just as disciplined as any other member of the service. Those who are not, are released just as any other person would be as well.

    Thank you, Captain Obvious.

DADT should be repealed. Far too many soldiers, sailors and airmen are being drummed out of the service for this ridiculousness, especially those with valuable skills. If you give that much of a shit whether the fellow next to you is gay, you're probably a bit on the gay yourself. Like The Lonely Squire.

Do you seriously believe that? I've got a friend who used to be a SSgt in the Marine Corps(discharged for absorbing too much IED shrapnel), not the sort of fellow you'd peg as being gay. He has a boyfriend(nice fellow), and I'm quite sure if you flipped him some shit about being "gay in the military", he'd break your Chair Force neck. Myth busted. :jayzus:

:wtf: What the fuck makes you think for a minute the military isn't chock full of gays now?
Shit, did you wake up with a condom hanging out of your ass or something while you were serving? Shit.

You're giving hillbillies a bad name again man. :jayzus:
