I'm watching As The World Turns (yeah, yeah, I know a soap opera) and they just had a big, passionate, full on close up kissage between two men.

The ongoing story has actually been pretty well done and it wasn't contrived at all...for once. It seems so many gay relationships on tv are awkward and unrealistic and obviously written by people with no clue or imagination.

So...have we come far enough that it won't matter or will it be a big deal?

Oh I'm sure there will be some bitching. I just wish the same people would get as upset over Jerry Springer and the like. Talk about trash tv.

Homosexuals have had to put up with heterosexuals kissing each other on TV for decades now, even though it might cause them to have the same reaction Mewa just had :soma:

Television is a wonderous venue, isn't it. I think it won't be long now.

I don't see what is so vomit-inducing about a kiss.

First of all, it's gotta be a show that anyone watches or no matter what happens, there won't be a fuss raised over it.

Second, it's not even much of a controversial topic anymore.

    Neither do I.

When I see a man and a woman kissing, two women kissing, or two men kissing, I see the same exact thing in each case.

What's happening on Days of Our Lives? I used to watch it with Mom when I was a kid, and I like to check in every now and then. How many remember when Julie was the hot young chick, Mickey was in jail, and Brook and David weren't even Born yet? And when John Delancy was a geeky nerdy scientist (a mental image that utterly killed any chance of me taking Q seriously)?

Sorry but it just freaks me out. And I will bet that those here that say its nothing have not seen many men kissing each other. They propably were never on a train next to two men necking. Yuck!

I on the other hand, living near Gay Central, (The Village) has never gotten used to it. I see them on the train, on the street, everywhere!

Soap operas. :jayzus: You deserve what you get for watching that shit.

I really don't care to see two dudes kissing, but I'd just change the damned channel, rather than making a federal case of it.

I demand a actuall lipstick long term relationship garamet. That's sad that trek has been so conservative whose responsible for antilesbian bigotry on trek? Is that Berman?
