    From everything ive heard this is not fixable, not even in the service mission.

    There's a thread over at TBBS (started as an anti-NASA rant) that has attracted a poster called Twilight who is apparently part of the Space Telescope group. Seems to think this isn't a major deal.

    Aye, it's not good, but the majority of Hubble images that we see aren't visible light anyway are they?
