http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/story/2011/09/08/f-border-mental-health-privacy.html Kudos to Homeland Security for protecting us from the Canadian hoardes! After all, they think curling is a real sport and dream about driving a zamboni all over Saskatchewan.
Well, shit, that's un-American, if they had kept out the mentally ill from Scotland/Ireland a couple hundred years ago, we'd have no redneck Southerners.
yeah, fuck doctor-patient confidentiality - we have to keep people who cut themselves as teenagers from being tourists in our country, dammit.
At least read the article...all they know is what is in the police report...they are not reading medical records. Still, it seems a 2006 suicide attempt wouldn't make someone a danger to others.
There is no patient-doctor confidentiality in this case as the attempted suicide is public knowledge. That said it is stupid to deny them entrance into the country.
So we're keeping out all the crazy Canananananadians . . . which pretty much means we're keeping out ALL of the Canananananadians . . . at least, we would be if there were such a place as Canada, and we all know that it's made up.
Typo in my rep - was sneezing. It "shouldn't" be exclusive. We should strive to keep out all crazies.
