Australian woman charged with stealing van carrying 10,000 doughnuts A woman in Australia has been charged with stealing a delivery van packed with 10,000 Krispy Kreme doughnuts. The van went missing from a petrol station in a Sydney suburb in the early hours of 29 November. Her delicious haul included Christmas-themed and classic doughnuts, News.com.au reported. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-australia-67712369.amp
You had me until 'Krispy Kreme.' Duck Donuts, maybe. Oh, and Dunkin has gotten rid of the Cruller. What the hell apocalyptic timeline are we living in?
Given that she thought she needed a whole van full of donuts, I'm guessing there's enough of her to go around.
I’d say it’s pretty obvious she was wanting to get caught. I mean, other than being a black man with a target on his back screaming, “Shoot me, whitey!” there’s probably no better way to get the cops to go after you than stealing a donut truck.
Krispy Kreme donuts are pretty good, but go stale fairly quick. Hot off the rollers, just after getting frosted are amazing. So the theft is a fail, 9,000 plus stale donuts are next to useless. I'd be far more impressed is she managed to steal 10,000 hot, fresh donuts over months or years.
Destination Donuts is surprisingly good, and wherever my coworker is getting her ube donuts from. So purple. So tasty.
Yes and no. They're definitely overpriced, but their donuts beat the shit out of a lot of other chains.
