http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7232661.stm Rowan Williams, who I'd have suspected to be one of the more level-headed members of his sect, says this, and seems to welcome it. What the fuck?
Would the shia-compliant proceeding also be completly under british law. I.e. sharia law can have its say, but nothing is allowed that is presently illegal in our system? Or just sharia law completely?
The hell? Apart from everything else, isn't there the obvious problem of legal disputes between parties who cannot agree which law they want to apply?
So.....he says the U.K. should accept it, but also says nobody in their right mnd would want to see the inhumanity that seems to go with it. This shows he is not "in his right mind" or actually believes Sharia Law is not as bad as some make it out to be - that England's version would not be over the top. Here's a thought.....why don't the Muslims accept the current U.K. laws or take their ball and go back home to Asscrackistan where they came from?
I for one welcome our primitive tribal psychotic overlords! Now all the stores will be.....wait for it..... one stop chopping!
Color me surprised. What was that I was saying about some people not having the courage to defend their way of life?
You don't anyway. Soon, you can listen to some guy with a beard with a towel around his head instead. .
Yeah, I wouldn't worry about anything. American Woman Jailed in Saudi Arabia for Sitting With Man at Starbucks A 37-year-old American businesswoman and married mother of three is seeking justice after she was thrown in jail by Saudi Arabia's religious police for sitting with a male colleague at a Starbucks coffee shop in Riyadh, according to a report in The Times of London on Thursday. Yara, who does not want her last name published for fear of retribution, was bruised and crying when she was freed from a day in prison after she was strip-searched, threatened and forced to sign false confessions by the Kingdom's "Mutaween&" police, The Times reported. "Some men came up to us with very long beards and white dresses. They asked 'Why are you here together?'. I explained about the power being out in our office. They got very angry and told me what I was doing was a great sin," recalled Yara, who wears an abaya and headscarf, like most Saudi women. The men were from Saudi Arabia's Commission for Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, a police force of several thousand men charged with enforcing dress codes, sex segregation and the observance of prayers. Yara says she was interrogated, strip-searched and forced to sign and fingerprint a series of confessions pleading guilty to her "crime," the Times reported. Yara was visited yesterday by officials from the American Embassy, who promised they would file a report.
Damn. If I was that male colleague, they woulda had to haul me outta that Starbucks in chains. "Why are you here together?" "None of your fucking business, Hadji." "What you are doing is a great sin!" "How much of a sin will it be for me to break my foot off in your ass?"
Unlike americans, we dont tend to listen to our religious leaders. Muslim or christian or jew, they are all equally ignored
No dear boy. He's implying that their people and culture is breeding like wildfire, and you all are breeding about as well as me. In essence, it's future RULE BY DEMOGRAPHY, unless you all rediscover your testicles within the next 50 years or so.
Don't get mad at me. The Church of England has been nothing but a political tool since it's inception. It forever sits on the fence, unable to any meaningful spiritual beliefs; everyone who is impassioned finds their way back to Rome or becomes a hardcore protestant.
You're right you know!, we'll have to be on the lookout for all those christian priests who rape kids... Thanks for the reminder
