    It's desert. Gets kinda chilly at night. Not Steelers Game in November chilly, but chilly.

    For example, I'll be 45 tonight where I am. Further inland, closer to 42.

    Sure makes all this Internet stuff seem trivial. [wry smile]

    God, what I wouldn't give to be sitting in the new stadium (built after I left Pittsburgh) watching the Steelers play, with a flask of something to keep me warm, in one of my pockets.

    In fact, I would like to go home to live again. It's a thousand pities that my other half is so dead-set against it. :P

    They do. And whenever I've got out-of-town visitors, I warn them to bring a windbreaker, even in the summer. Also, the East Coasters are used to the Gulf Stream when they go to the beach, so they're not prepared for how cold the water is here.

    Dress code for locals can range from the practical to the ridiculous. One of the funniest winter get-ups is the surfer dude in the board shorts and flipflops with the over-sized hooded parka over it.

    Then there are the tourists who think "Oh, it's California, it's hot all the time!" and end up on the Pier shivering in their little tank tops when the sun goes down.

    BTW, it's 54 degrees outside my house now, at a little after 9 p.m. Tomorrow it'll be sunny and 70, but most nights you can sleep under a quilt until well into June.

    Some might, others wouldn't. Not everyone have the same issues with so called "chilly" weather. Taken a step further, judging by how busy the coliseum was many folks would have been wearing shorts and t-shirt and the would later put on a sweat shirt later.

    Looks like another drama queen style story by someone who specializes in telling stories and making things up.

    Yep, with a new subplot, yet. KIRK is up to his usual tricks of making snarky comments about me while keeping me on ignore.

    But I can force him to change his signature every day without doing a thing. :diablo:

    He's also taken to referring to me as "the garamet" on TBBS. Not sure why he thinks that's supposed to upset me, but every time he types that extra "the," I can only :jayzus:
