Evidently the punishment for this kind of thing is not near enough. With all the ID theft and shit going on we need manadatory stong sentences for that kind of thing. Say 10 years minimum.
Oh man, I love it. You don't want 'em here because you claim they're straining our social systems and stealing our jobs, so your solution is to essentially babysit, feed, clothe, and house them for a decade. You want to force them to suck away tax dollars. If an illegal immigrant from any nation is stupid enough to get caught committing a crime, I've no problem in the world with shipping him back to his country post-haste. He might make it back, sure, but that's a hell of a lot of resources he first has to invest before I do what is bound to be a pretty cut-and-dried bust. Don't think most would make the same mistake twice. And no, before you point to that bolded bit of the story, it just says they've made two busts in eight weeks, not busted the same group twice.
Sorta off-topic. The main thing that bugs me about all the illegal immigration discussions is the idea that so long as the US is better than whatever crap hole an illegal immigrant comes from the illegal immigrant is justified in using whatever means necessary to live here.
I got not problem with putting illegal aliens in prison for 10 year at hard labor and then shipping them back to whatever. Put them to work clearing logging roads with a hatchet or makking gravel with a ballpeen hammer. I also have no problem with throwing them up against the wall. And I have no problem at all with doing the same to anyone that assists or employees or houses illegal aliens. You tell a business that if we find out Pedro is working there and isn't legal the owner is losing his business and getting 25 years in Pound-Me-In-The-Ass-Prison and all of a sudden nobody is going to want to hire Pedro.
If this was new york La or chicago those cops would be in big trouble. Those places are sancuary cities.

Yeah, I don't mind them coming here as long as they immigrate legally and obey the laws once they're here. I also thoroughly agree that those who gives them jobs and housing should pay through the nose for it. This crap needs to be stopped, not overlooked and excused.
First of all, I think the embargo against Cuba is silly, stupid, and has proven totally ineffective, and needs to be ended. I also think that the Cuban boat people are no better than the Mexican boarder jumpers and should likewise be sent back home immediately. If they have no recourse or escape, maybe the Cubans will get pissed off enough to overthrow their communist gub'mint. As long as they can sail a '57 Chevy to Florida, they have no reason to overthrow it.

I've been saying for years the best policy for Cubans that make it to the US is to arm them, train them, sned them back in the dead of night to fight for a free Cuba and if they aren't willing to do that, send the lot of them to an internment camp for the durration.
The Soviets were backing Cuba back then. Nobody is going to give a shit about them now. Not to mention, I'm not talking about an invasion, just a dozen Cuban patriots here and there and thell them to fight for Cuba if they love it. Otherwise they can join their brothers and sisters in the internment camp until a free and democratic Cuba exists that we can repatirate them to.
