This board used to have an imagehost built into it, one that I thought was lost. Now I see it's under "My Photos", whenever I post a message. I can only look at this album, I can't add or delete anything.

Now we have another album system, one that is completely different and that no one can seem to see when I post images from it.

Is there a hiccup with the board's software, or just my permissions?

I will now test this by posting an image from both albums:

I use the album function to post images all the time. No problem.

And you have probably the least restrictive permissions of anyone. Do you ever use a dummy account to test things from viewpoint of a commoner like us?

I see Fry when logged in, but don't see him when I am not logged in.

I think this is because I changed the album to "public" on the latter.

Still, my original album is still hidden somewhere on the board. Is there any way I can get to it?

Here we go. Didn't we end up losing the original photo albums, that's why we had to switch to the new one?

Turns out we didn't, we just lost the link:

You can't add to, edit, or delete anything in those albums with any sort of reliability. That's why we switched.

Can you just change my permissions so I can upload to the old one? I like it much better.

Honestly, the fact that you can do anything with the old one is a miracle. It's not just a matter of giving you permissions, it's a matter of the thing not working well.

I wish we'd get the Gallery working again. Fucking Photobucket keeps deleting my clipart. The Photo Album in the User CP sucks.

I uploaded the That's Racist ani to the Photo Album and when I look at it in the album, it works. When I post it in a thread, it's just one frame and doesn't work.

If I recall correctly, the original gallery added a ton of SQL hits to each page load. When we've got a dozen people complaining about load times in one thread, we can't just 'fix' a feature that's only going to degrade performance.

Also, I figured out your animated GIF issue, though I agree, it probably represents something that needs to be fixed:

The URL needed a &thumb=1 applied to the end of it. God knows why, but I'm going to blame it on PHP not handling image resizing correctly or something.
