You are a public figure. We have just as much right to annoy you as you annoy us.

Which means I need to dump a truck load of waterballoons on Paris Hilton.

    You fucking moron.

Those two guys did nothing to justify that Congressman's use of force.

    They should have pressed charges.

I can understand, to a certain extent, that the police don't want citizen activists rushing into the middle of some police business shoving their cellphone or video camera in everyone's faces. There is a safety issue that's arguable. That said, there should be no quarrel with a person capturing police activity on video in a non-intrusive way.

Certainly, there has to have been instances in which video taken by the average Joe was used by prosecutors to make a case against a suspect, no? Other than concern that a video would capture police misconduct, what's the problem?

You have to wonder if this applies to the press, or just amateur videographers?

It only applies to amateurs. See the media in America thinks it is special and has more 1st Amendment rights then you and I.

With that said the media is playing with fire because such policies could easily be turned against them.

Every time I think Liet's credibility as a "lawyer" can't get any lower, he manages to surprise me! :)

Sweeping the floors at a law firm does not make one a lawyer.
