Whatever Apple did to the broadcast portion of this phone is awesome. I bought a hotspot the same day (battery reasons), and I consistently get 4-6x better speed through the iPhone 5 than I do the 4g hotspot.

I've been curious about tethering through the iphone. I haven't tested it out because I don't want to change my data plan from the unlimited unless it's worth it. Is it quick and easy to turn on and off and connect your other devices?

You have to have a tethering plan unless you jailbreak. Even then, I believe they can detect when you're using non-phone devices, and bust ya. For example, I'd feel comfortable jailbreaking and tethering my iPad, but not a laptop.

Can you get a different 'skin' on an iPhone, like you can with Android? Or do you have to jailbreak it to do that? It's just that the iPhone interface looks almost exactly the same as every other iPhone iteration, a change would be nice.

If that is important to you, you'll probably be happier sticking with android.

I hope this doesn't make us enemies. :(

Ya I know all that... which is why I asked about ease of use.

Yes, it's easy. Go into settings and hit the slider just like you would if you were turning WiFi or Bluetooth on or off.

You can connect via WiFi, which will be automatic after you configure it. Or, you can connect via Bluetooth just like connecting a headset or other device.
