"sorry doesn't work that way"? Who the fuck are you to lay down the law? You'd better check your basement for gas leaks, you aren't thinking straight.

Saying "fuck the police" may have delayed medical attention for a shooting victim in Seattle's biggest daycare....AKA the CHOP zone. Police tried to enter but were kept out by an angry mob.
CHOP "medics" were handling things themselves and it took 30 minutes to get the shooting victims to the hospital. Maybe police could have facilitated actual EMT professionals to get there to save the one that sadly perished - who knows? The Seattle mayor said CHOP is just "the summer of love" so it's all good!

@Marso 's been dictating orders as if he owns the place. But you're cool with that.

Never trust what SPOG says about the CHOP.

Just like they lied about the shakedowns and had to recant.

Just like they lied about the crime and had to recant.

They lied about being blocked from getting to the victim.

Video released later in the day by the Seattle Police appears to show officers arriving at the protest zone saying they want to get to the victim and entering as people yell at them that the victim is already gone.

As usual the cops came too late to actually do anything but take a report but then they had to try and spin it for the rubes like you.

Starting with 4-the map from the game Shattered Union works-although I think there'd be a little less geographic balance in the middle. The causes and circumstances of the intro run perilously parallel to the last 4 years.

1-Not really. I mean, long term Canada will benefit from the former states that will petition to become part of Confederation after finding themselves in a more practical sphere of influence to Canadian centres. Maine and Vermont are almost sure bets along with MI and likely WA. Presuming the big states of CA, TX, and NY became their own spheres of influence, I suspect we'd work things out fairly quick with the NY and CA leadership re: trade and stuff. TX and the midwest wouldn't be as urgent, and I suspect the some of latter might also become our new southwest territories. In the short term it's a real pain in the ass for us because the accompanying implosion of NATO means we'll be filled with EU troops and shit acting as a buffer between your spat and a hungry Russia.

2- the remnants form into a couple of smaller unions.probably vertically along the Appalachians to the Mississippi to the Rockies, minus the Mexican and Canadian salients. Trade and mutual defense pacts within a decade.

3-Probably not. But Alaska declared as a Cdn protectorate so as to stave off learning Russian.

No. America has been a tremendous force for progress in the world, socially and technologically. Despite the claims of the reality-impaired, the world is better because the United States has been a Thing.

The most likely outcome is a return to a pre-WW I type of international order, with several great powers playing influence games and intriguing against each other. China, Russia, India, the EU in some form, and perhaps Brazil. Then we can have hundreds of little brushfire wars going all the time. Wouldn't that be fun?

No. As noted, China would be one player among several. But contrary to what some have said, China is also quite rapidly gaining in "soft power" . . . financial, technological, and cultural influence around the world.

CHAZ/CHOP won't last long. As many leftist idiots have discovered in the last hundred and fifty years or so, their ideas don't actually work in the real world. The US might break up into smaller chunks, but I think it more likely that the country will remain united, just with a weaker federal government and regional influence blocks.

Incidentally, if the Califantasy of becoming a separate country were to happen, they'd be 100% dependent on the good graces of states like Idaho and Montana for almost all of their water. So unless Cali wants to launch a war of aggression, you can forget the idea of going independent.

No tone policing. Just noting that until the increasingly-unhinged Dickynoo went on his tirade, the thread was fairly civilized.

No. I mean that he's acting like the High Muckety-muck who gets to tell the rest of us what he'll tolerate in our posts... namely that the more we see the world his way, the better.

At this point he's got at least half the board on Ignore, so he believes he's created his own little echo chamber, and he's getting it for free. Talk about somebody who wants Free Stuff...

Oh, @Lanzman! It's the term "Free Stuff" that got you upset, eh? :loltears:

Dear @Ancalagon , sorry to hear Marso and oldfella overthrew you in a military coup.
Their rule is authoritarian as can be expected.
What with them being fascist and all.
Garamet and I are organizing a resistance to bust you out of prison, and take the board back.
    Sit tight.
    Have hope.

    Hugs and kisses, Diacanu.

Remember when the Obama brownshirts rounded us all up into the FEMA death camps, and made us decide which grandparent gets to live?
Then we took the subway car in the Jade Helm tunnel to the Comet Ping-Pong Pizza parlour basement, and all got assfucked?
Oh, yeah, wait, none of that.
Your side is full of tinfoil wrapped shit, and doesn't get to be taken seriously anymore.
    That's what happened.

I mourn it. For it's faults America was great. But our enemies domestic, mostly weather underground members, got teaching jobs and spread their social poison.

Steadily escalating violence among mostly racial, but also social, religious, and political lines. Probably be a long slow burn that will force people to group together in ways not unlike prisons.

Doubt it, by the time China'd muster the force projection capability needed to put boots on overseas soil, they'd be dropping into an active war zone. If they started giving materials and munitions and training to the inevitable chinese communist party friendly factions on the west coast it would probably unify every other faction against them.

I don't think any balkanization would be mapable. We'd either be looking at a decade or two of constant fighting among an untold number of factions vying for dominance, or the china unification scenario posited above, and we'd end up right in the starship troopers future.

Speaking of, 17 year old American Gio Reyna got his first start in the Bundesliga today and notched his first assist.

He is the son of Claudio Reyna (former USMNT captain) and Danielle Egan Reyna (former USWNT player). His father, a second generation American speaks fluent English (born and raised in New Jersey) Spanish (father Argentinian), Portuguese (mother Brazilian) and German (picked up while playing for Bayer Leverkusen). Gio speaks a little of the other languages but is only fluent in English.

This has been the pattern from the beginning. First generation either doesn’t pick up English or very limited. Second generation bilingual, third English only.

Exactly the same way Randites and Libertarians live in their own fantasy world. It is amusing how the Fox crowd is clutching their pearls over CHOP when all they have to do is what for it to either collapse (if the ones behind CHOP really are anarchists they won't be able to do the cooperative work required to make any kind of real community work) or wait for them to reintegrate themselves into the city.
