Veronica Mars is in critical condition. It's not really surprising since the series has always struggled and the CW completely mishandled the last season. There's some talk about bringing the series back and setting it in the future with Veronica in the FBI but that's completely nutty.

My girlfriend's disappointed that The Wedding Bells is canceled already. She liked it a lot.

I'm a bit amazed Lost is still hanging on.

Well, it makes better sense than when SeaQuest moved the series 10 years in the future.

While LOST may have slipped in the ratings, it still wins in the all-important 18-49 demographic. That alone guarantees a 4th, and likely 5th, season.

It's been picked up for season 4 and the show's EP's have already said they want the show to run only five years. Plus, 100 eps is still the magic number for syndication, so it'll get five years.

I don't think so.... serialized dramas don't do well in syndication. Look at 24, ER... you'd hardly know they were in syndication. Episodic shows like sitcoms do best in syndication.

I'm surprised Numb3rs is doing so well. That turned crap real fast.

    99% as I expected.

The one stand out disappointment for me is Studio 60.

Supernatural was one of my favorites last year... but year, I don't know... it started out really good then all of a sudden, I couldn't stand to watch it anymore. I can't put my finger on why....

I caught an episode of thatrandomly. Seemed to be a good show, but it wasn't network material (not that that's a bad thing :garamet:) and the friday night death slot and complete lack of advertisement told me that the network only made it out of contractural obligations.

How CBS gets away with the same show in four slots or that it's considered a crime "drama" (more like a Sci-Fi forensics class) or ABC with their eight billion "feelings" shows is beyond me.

I swear, all the networks have gone into a niche: ABC has dramas, FOX has action, NBC has comedy, and CBS has CSI.

I watched ER entirely in reruns...but then again, I'm not like the average TV viewer...

I'd also point out that this isn't entirely true, especially if you look at TNT, with its 16 hours/day of L&O, ER, Charmed, and X-files...
