They're posting videos of the children they kidnapped. https://m.jpost.com/israel-news/article-768203 Man, imagine joining Hamas hoping to kill as many Israelis as possible or maybe die in a blaze of glory, then getting assigned to... babysitting duty. I wonder if there are other members assigned to feed their elderly hostages soup and listen to their long rambling stories that go nowhere. Lower Decks: Hamas, coming soon!
Must be undergoing repairs/maintenance/overhaul/something and scheduled back in Norfolk in March. No way it takes five months to get from Mobile to Norfolk.
Wait. You are honestly saying you think the CIA should have had a better grasp of what is going on in Gaza than the Shin Bet?
https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2023/10/13/...tial-gaza-clash-days-before-attack/index.html CNN says that US intelligence was also warning Israel before the attacks. One update from September 28 warned, based on multiple streams of intelligence, that the terror group Hamas was poised to escalate rocket-attacks across the border. An October 5 wire from the CIA warned generally of the increasing possibility of violence by Hamas. Then, on October 6, the day before the attack, US officials circulated reporting from Israel indicating unusual activity by Hamas — indications that are now clear: an attack was imminent.
https://www.newyorker.com/news/news-desk/what-was-hamas-thinking Interesting piece, includes an interview with a senior Hamas guy. He's definitely repeating some official party lines, but there are some decent insights there too.
Convoy of 70 people evacuating the north as ordered blown up by an Israeli strike. https://twitter.com/MSNBC/status/1712911792106602608?t=sLIYnEffRHmYdz2MJPZTZg&s=19
Jewish New Yorkers making it clear that this is not in their name. The identification of the Israeli state with Jews in general is anti-Semitic. Being Jewish does not associate you with these mass murdering criminal scum.
Have seen a lot of stories about how the BBC refuses to call Hamas terrorists. Which sounds like something that would come out of academia. I think these journalistic ‘standards’ are highly malleable. If a Charlie Hebdo style attack occurred in the BBC offices you can be sure they would start calling them terrorists.
OSINT Technical has footage of the 'Israeli air strike' on an evacuating convoy on the 'safe' route. No projectile is seen in a 30 FPS video. It appears the car blows up independently, speculated to be a vehicle borne improvised explosive device. Guess we'll see. https://twitter.com/Osinttechnical/status/1713201470445609322
Israel is not a party to the ICC so it would be difficult to prosecute their war criminals there. However - there are a lot of European leaders complicit and moves are afoot to refer them to the court. So they should be very careful.
Oh, so now there should be consequences for people you deem "complicit" even if they've never touched a gun or a bomb. Fascinating.
Blown up by Hamas. https://twitter.com/Osinttechnical/status/1713241560752533662?t=5BHHgsom9b0ZKT1j3oy7DQ&s=19
It's weird how it's so important to recognize that "Hamas" and "the Gaza Palestinians" aren't the same thing, while "Israel" and "Israelis" and "the government of Israel" and "The Netanyahu administration" and "the IDF" and "some asshole settlers in the West Bank" are all used interchangeably with no problem. I do think there's a discussion to be had about exactly how culpable/liable a citizenry should be for the actions of their rulers, but it's fascinating how some folks insist on using loaded language for one group but not another.
Still waiting. Do you mean Putin? Because he should be locked up with the key thrown away, and I haven't said otherwise.
