It looks like the whole JLA except Bruce and Diana are going to be on Smallville,

In last night's episode of Smallville, while Clark is busy getting his ass handed to him by an escapee from the Phantom Zone, a mysterious stranger saves his life, and with a flash of red eyes he flies off into the night sky.

Later in the loft, while telling Chloe the tale, Clark steps on a half-eaten Oreo cookie, and wonders how it got there! :soma:

OK, I counted Arrow, Flash, Aquaman and MM so far (Cyborg is Teen Titans) - did I miss Lantern?

And please, please let them include Black Canary.

    Mmm.... fishnets...

Martian Manhunter. He used to be addicted to Oreos.

Hmm. I wonder if Miss Martian has the same weakness... :D

Hal is the only other big player missing. But with the Green Lantern flick in development hell, who knows?

Wonder Woman is also missing. They can't use her because of the upcoming movie. Which is probably good. Given "Smallville's" history, they would have gotten some hot actress who was completely wooden.

W-w-whaaat??? Where did you hear this? Are they gonna use the black Green Lantern or the white ones? I can see it now, "Green Lantern, starring Will Smith."

Well, I was channel-surfing this weekend and finally saw part of the Green Arrow one. Turned it off after a couple minutes. It made me see why they wanted to keep Clark out of the costume. It was just really bad. Really painful and cheezy. And Green Arrow with a crossbow? :wtf: :jayzus:

Hey, if you enjoy the show, more power to ya, but I just haven't been able to get into it since about the beginning of Season 4. :(

Beats Green Lantern, starring Jack Black. They were allegedly really thinking about that one.

Wonder Woman not showing up was kind of implied in the thread title dude. ;)

If we do see a Green Lantern, my bet is on Hal since the show usually tends to referance the Silver Age a lot.

Actually, Ollie's bow kind of transforms, crossbow at short range, compound bow for distance, cool trick arrows too.

    Reading is fundamental. :o:

I hope they don't do a GL. Knowing them, his ring will probably be out of Kryptonite.

"Sinestro, you've been charged with 15 violations of the Algeron Treaty - so take off that punk ass yellow ring because it don't go with your ugly purple skin."

Or find a relative unknown to play Abin Sur, who's to say he never visited Earth before giving the ring to Hal? He was still the GL of the sector. And with all the alien strangeness, especially with the Phantom Zone escapees, this season would be as good a time as any to have him show up.

I'd still like a Legion appearance, but that should keep 'til next fall.

I haven't been watching until now, caught the Green Arrow and Aquaman episodes and thought they were good stuff. Clark still looks a little light in the loafers to me, but they were both good episodes with hot female cast. I'll be watching more often.

It wasn't clear - the kid was called Bart, which at the time would have made him Impulse rather than the Flash (though he might have become Kid Flash by that point, can't remember). Bart Allen is currently the Flash following Infinite Crisis, but the character on Smallville also had a number of fake IDs in the names of Barry Allen and Wally West, so he could have been any of 'em. He was closest in personality to Bart, though.

I really need to try to watch more than just the last 5 minutes of every episode. I only catch it because I'm more interested in Supernatural that follows it.

I lost all interest in the show early in Season 4(?). The good thing was that season they followed it with "Angel", which I'd never watched. Because I was so nonplussed with "Smallville", I'd usually have it playing while I'd be over on the computer and not get around to turning it off right away. That's how I wound up getting hooked on "Angel." Then the WB cancelled it at the end of the season.

    Oh, that was pretty sweet.

One of the best Smallville episodes in the entire six year run.

I loved all the JLA references... especially with Chloe acting as the League's 'Watchtower'.

They made pretty good use of everyone's abilities... though it has always been very hard in any incarnation to work Aquaman into the plot.

Interesting to see Lex starting to build up a Legion of Doom.

    Next week, Martian Manhunter.

Ok, so I actually sat and watched this last night. WTF is that Cyborg shit? I was totally and completely thrown by that. And the aquaman thing...yeah...he's always been kinda fruity...but the "I like to work when I'm naked" line? That was a bit much.

So can someone explain to me the Cyborg character so I don't feel like a total doof the next time I go to watch this?
