Here, that Rogan speech can be boiled down to this.
Only 4 minutes (and change) so half the length.
    And way better.
    Cuz no Rogan.

Playboy? Who would ever buy that tame, lame wanna-be porn? Maybe back in the fifties or sixties I guess.

What other reason would someone listen to a podcast?

I don't like that he doesn't challenge his guests on *anything*. He's totally credulous about just about everything, except some politics.

because he wants to listen and maybe learn something? And perhaps the listeners at home would rather hear what the guests have to say rather than what Joe has to say, because they have probably already heard what Joe has to say about the various topics. Maybe Joe thinks everything isn't all about him. Joe is often criticized and mocked for being overly enthusiastic and going "all in" on anything or anybody who excites him. Concerning his job as UFC commentator sometimes it seems that every rookie fighter is "the best he's ever seen" and every exceptionally good fight is "the best fight ever".
There's nothing wrong with this - IMHO once you lose the ability to be a "fan" you are only in something for the money, and now your job turns into a prison sentence. Just my 2 cents.

His podcast, when not about politics, is a glorified press release for whoever he has on his show 95% of the time. There are exceptions, like Elon Musk, and I’ve watched those episodes. If I wanted a press release, I’d go read one, not listen to one as a podcast.

It seems like he's just reciting a bunch of cliches from the "motivational speaker" handbook. Convince me I'm wrong. :waiting:

I had a hunch it would be something like that. :jayzus:

Why do so many conservatives need their information predigested for them? It's as if actually reading something might hurt their widdle brains. :mystery:

Anyway, even though Joe Rogan turned into a total douche-bro, and Phil Hartman got murdered by his crazy wife, and Andy Dick sold Phil's wife the bad cocaine that drove her over the edge, and Dave Foley got financially and spiritually destroyed by his psychopathic ex-wife, and is a tragic husk of a man now, I'd STILL recommend "News Radio" to anyone who never watched it.

    What?
    Bad timing?

Making dumb jokes does not make you a "transphobe." This idea that thare are protected classes that are forbidden as objects of ridicule or satire needs to be drowned in a septic tank.

Yeeeeaaah, thing is though, every single time we try that "let's make fun of everyone equally!! :polarslam2:" shit, the Nazis glom onto it, and use it as an excuse to fire up the bullying again.
Nazis are why we can't have nice things.
We can't have liber-topia until after we've killed all the Nazis.
    Not a minute before.
If Charlottesville and January 6th didn't teach you that, then I want the extra-strength Propofol you coma-slept through that shit with.

Hitler probably said a few things that were true.

You just have to look past the racism and genocide, though.

Nope. People need go grow thicker skins and stop trying to dilute the concept of incitement to cover every person they don't like and every thing they don't want to hear. Not every person you disagree with has started violence or encouraged others to do so. As for those who have, I am all for punishing them. But that net will catch EVERYONE who does it, even if you think they had a good reason.

    Minorites tried that.
Then it escalated to "AH SAID (insert awful thing) BOOAAHH! (Insert shoving, then punches, then murder)".
