What's that got to do with the fact that you girls are obsessed with politicians' looks, and Muad - great beauty that he is - has an obsession with a politician's wife? The screen-cap was my avatar long after the "Ooo, let's play Photoshop!!!" games, and that's not the photo I was referring to. See, this is the part where you comment on the topic instead of lecturing me about a conversation with UA that had nothing to do with you. Nothing to say? Didn't think so.
I'll say whatever the fuck I damn well want, even if it includes calling you out for being a whiny prima donna. Nothing in the topic of this thread had an iota of personal reference to you, yet you try to make it all about you. You want me to comment on Kerry? Fine. He was Lurch then, and he's Lurch now. Nothing about the man has changed since 2004 that I note.
You may be reading a bit more into this thread than is really here. It's about the change in appearance. Didn't say he was the paragon of ugly! As I said in the opening post - Nothing about the ugly.
Feeling upstaged, Eva? Not my problem. See? If you found him attractive, there'd be no need for the first observation, and the second might have a little more weight.
Of course not. It's just fallen prey to the Usual RR Nonsense, where a couple of posters go off on a sidebar and a third poster creates a drama around it. SSDD. I still don't get why politicians are expected to be physically attractive, though. Yes, I get what Anna's saying about Nixon vs. Kennedy, and the argument can be made that a lot of women voted for JFK because they thought he was "cute." But I doubt anyone but Kerry's wife finds him attractive, and there's evidence that women are more drawn to power than looks, but why a politician has to look a certain way in order to be perceived to be good at the job It's been the downfall of the GOP lately, and that's fun to watch. Neither Palin nor Romney were chosen for their intellect. But when there are substantive things to criticize about a candidate, the "critics" look particularly silly bitching, for example, about the candidate's wife's teeth.
