That's nice. If one has doubts about their medical treatment, there are ample ways to find out if their doctor is following standard medical practices. The Mayo Clinic (along with a number of credible medical institutions) has ample information on their website so you can figure out if you're getting the right treatment or not.

In the case of addiction, were I someone who had the resources that Peterson has, I'd go to Israel for treatment. They put you into a medically induced coma for the time period where one goes through withdrawl symptoms, so when you awake, you don't have to deal with the withdrawl. Apparently, this can make recovery much easier and reduces the chances of relapsing.

Because most of what he blathers on about has nothing to do with Marxism, for starters.

One small example, he claims to be on an all meat diet, and that this makes him healthier than were he to eat a diet that included fruits and vegetables.

I don’t know if he’s telling the truth about what he eats or not, but I can you tell the idea that strictly eating meat is healthier, is bullshit. There’s a number of nutrients you’ll be unable to get if you’re on an all meat diet, not to mention, it makes it very hard for you to poo, if all you eat is meat.

Stalinism/Leninism would be more accurate. He was talking about what they did from the1920s-1959 in particular.
