Two gun-totting robbers take 14 hostages at a mall Nordstroms in LA. One raped, one stabbed, one pistol-whipped. And the robbers escaped.

But it could have been worse, I suppose. An innocent gun could have been confiscated.

And if any of the customers were armed this would have been over in ten seconds with two dead scumbags.

And a dozen bystanders caught in the cross-fire.

Because shootouts always happen exactly the same way that they do on the teevee. The Good Guys never miss.

And in your world view the good guys ALWAYS miss and kill a bunch of innocent people.

That's what happens when you're afraid of guns, you demonize them in every way, shape or form.

Those two sentences do not follow...unless you're arguing that the guns act on their own.

No, but I would argue that gun owners with a concealed-carry permit have been fully trained on the use of their firearms who are fully qualified to handle a situation like this.

So then it comes down to anger management, and I don't see a lot of that in your posts. If a perp "looked Muslim" to you, for example, would you be acting on your training or on your biases?

I don't care what race/color/creed a person is. If that person pulls out guns, takes hostages, pistol-whips one person and rapes another...their brains are going to be rapidly evacuating from the back of their skulls.

My, what a nice double standard. I also notice you're completely forgetting about that guy who stopped a mall shooting without ever firing a shot, precisely because he didn't take the first shot he had lined up because he was concerned about hitting bystanders. Still, the shooter saw him, knew there was resistance, and shot himself as soon as he got his gun cleared (it had jammed). But in your world, there are no instances of this, and if anyone who's carrying is around for one of these shootings, naturally there are going to be lots of people caught in crossfire. Except all the times that they aren't.

Is he a member of WF? In which case, I wish he'd speak up and put some of these wannabes in perspective.
