That was my plan but I have issues with sensitivity on the tilt. Seems to burn 2 at once rather than 1 at a time (which is worthless when you use a cut string and whammy at the same exact time for example). I think you can press + or something instead of tilting though so I'll try that next. I never owned any of the previous guitar hero titles, but I had played them a few times. I'm not too great at it i mostly 3-star everything.
Can anyone beat the Dragon Force song on Hard? It is the song you earn once you beat the game- an 8:20 power ballad. I get about 1/3 of the way through and then lose it. I've seen a video of a kid playing it on Advanced on and making it through the song, on youtube. They didn't show his score though, so their whole vid is worthless.
This game just did not click with me until my roommate couldn't beat Raining Blood and he handed the guitar to me and I kicked its ass. Now I get it. I think the song selection is pretty weaksauce. Some are awesome but some are just like... seriously? *head tilt* My friends beat Dragon Force on hard. They had to do it about 123049230427342437 times though, which got real old real fast for the rest of us who wanted to play.
Are there some songs that you can unlock on hard that you do not unlock when you beat medium? Because I'm looking at the list of songs online and they are not all available in my game... at least not yet.
Some of the songs blow. I had to play about 6 before some decent ones came along. It's not metal enough (or at least I haven't gotten to those songs yet). I wish some of the old songs had stuck around. When I got to La Grange I was pumped, then disappointed by how lame it sounds. Not sure if it was a cover band or if ZZ Top just doesn't do it as well as they used to, but it was really lacking. The ending solo part wasn't too different but the rest had a totally different tone.
I used the internet cheat codes to unlock the rest of the songs that could only be unlocked in 2 player coop career... that feature sucks because I don't have 2 guitars or anyone else to play with. Thank God for google.
You can play with the wiimote instead of a guitar, but it requires a severely awkward mangling of the fingers.
It'd be nice if they had a difficulty between medium and hard. I only failed in the battle vs slash on medium, never on any of the songs or vs any other bosses. However, when transferring to hard, the combination of the harder note combos AND the addition of the extra button makes it so I can barely pass anything. It'd be nice if they had some easier songs that included the orange button so I could get used to the positioning of my fingers without also having to worry about the harder/faster key combinations.
You have to learn to just slide over to it when necessary. If you want a level between medium and hard then play "hard" on guitar hero 2. It's much easier than the hard on 3. The easiest way to learn is just to play in practice mode. You can slow the song down and it won't just quit on you if you're doing bad. You can also practice specific sections of a song instead of the whole thing.
Yeah... sorry but buying another guitar and a PS2 and another game isn't worth it. At all. Yeah I've messed with practice mode a little. Like I said it would just be nice if they had more of a lead-in. Really I wish they would have all 5 keys starting at easy.
Yeah I know but I didn't want to turn on the game and start that song just to check it out for this post.
I'm on wii, don't have the other consoles. So I'd have to get a different console and a different guitar and a different game. So no it's not worth it.
