Indeed and the simple fact of the matter is I don't honestly know, give me a few hours and that situation may change What would also be interesting is the question of other forms of violence, warfare or political dissidence for instance and how they relate to climate. Also, does that mean we should expect the world to become a more violent place as a consequence of climate change?
Ok, backing up slowly: 1) Sudan does not have a large number of African Americans. It has a large number of Africans. 2) It does not differ from from other African countries by having a large number of Africans, so that fact can hardly be pertinent in discussing why Sudan differs so strongly from the rest of Africa. 3) Compared to Sudan's number of Africans, the US does NOT have a 'large' number of African Americans. 4) What the actual fuck is going on in your brain?!
In fairness the original temperature exchange was with the real @Dayton3, but somewhere along the line he slipped in....
I did, but Packard was still in the throes so didn’t want to Yuk their Yum. On the other-hand wanted to give NotDayton their props so just posted the clap.
I’m hearing people talking about military intervention in Venezuela. The party of small government wants another Iraq.
He almost got me too, I started to reply and noticed the NotDayton just as I was about to click on the reply button.
All wars turn out badly for someone. Even for many on the victorious side. Remember what General Robert E. Lee said about war.
Going back to this for a second... how would we define and contrast mass killings for the purpose of commerce/capitalism? Strictly by the colonial policies of the 19th and early 20th century, or do we also count those who were worked to death under slavery?
And while we're at it, let's just quote a Union general on the subject of war. Seems apt in so many ways.
And? If you want to argue that this is why his statues should be pulled down and put in a museum, I won't argue the point. But at least in one instance, he was on the right side of history.
