Mellow music...hmmm... First off, you can't go wrong with anything from Miles Davis pre-1965. Dave Brubeck and John Coltrane (before he went nuts) might also be up your alley. In terms of more classic rock, you might want to check out "John Wesley Harding" and "Nashville Skyline" from Bob Dylan, "Astral Weeks" from Van Morrison, "Music from Big Pink" by The Band and "American Recordings" from Johnny Cash. Also, I'd check out early Leonard Cohen and Tom Waits, just because they're awesome. Modern rock/indie stuff...Eels, Aimee Mann, Damien Rice, Alexi Murdoch, Rilo Kiley, Neko Case and The Elected are worth looking at.
okay..so...it seems to be the season for concerts... one of my friends is taking me to the Relient K concert in a couple of weeks... plus...steven wants to go see the Killers...AND My Chemical Romance will be performing..2 days before my birthday!!! *is happy*
I saw Bob Seger on 2/27. I'll be seeing ZZ Top (4/18) and Heaven and Hell (the "Mob Rules" lineup of Black Sabbath) (4/22) in the same week!
