So, Mace was force-electrocuted and thrown out of a high-rise window. But ..., in every other movie even in the animated series, Jedi have survived much worse, Jedi who were not nearly as skilled or learned as Windu. And Windu was supposed to be one of the more exceptionally adept force wielders. So, how could he have died?

Just speculation. What are your thoughts? and if you think he is still alive after Order 66, when do you think he died? And, finally, do you think he might show up in Mandalorian, Book of Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi, or Ashoka?

He survived the fall, but his wallet fell out of his robes and he lost his ID. As he was trying to make his way back into the senate the police stopped him and blastered his ass. They said he was going for his blaster, but all he had was a lightsaber. The empire investigated and found the stormtroopers were all following policy and the shooting was justified. During the trial it was revealed Windu had once taken the spice which had been outlawed in that galaxy after white people discovered it gave super powers to aboriginal desert dwellers.

I was really hoping he'd make an appearance in the new trilogy.

But then, I thought they wouldn't do a new trilogy without planning out the storyline for all three movies, so what do I know?

I’m thinking he died early in the empire years trying to fix things himself and not working with Bail Organa and his attempts to create a rebel alliance.

edited to add: this is the reason we don’t see him in rebels. But he could show up in Bad Batch season 2

I'm thinking either Ahsoka or BoBF given his history with both of them and Hayden Christensen returning as Vader in Kenobi.

Sure a Jedi could survive that sort of fall, if they manage to stick the landing. But getting blasted with force lightning, having your arm cut off, and getting betrayed by another Jedi all in the space of a couple minutes might screw with ones concentration.

Besides, it's a movie where nearly all the Jedi in existence are massacred by Palpatine, Vader, or various clone troopers. Clone troopers! There must have been a galaxy-wide gas leak or something, because everyone dies pretty easily in that movie. Padme dies from being sad!

I feel like it's got to be one of those things where Palpatine used the force to make all the good guys weak and vulnerable, even if it's never explicitly mentioned. It must have taken a great deal of power to hide his presence from the Jedi in the first place, I'm sure he could pull off some similar sort of voodoo against all of them collectively. :clyde:

They brought back Maul and Palpatine; they can bring back anyone. But doing so is cheap. Death needs to have finality, otherwise none of the conflict in the universe means anything.

Windu is probably my favorite Star Wars character, alongside Obi-wan, so I would rather he not be resurrected and cheapened.

First, Maul was cut in half!! so, yea, I agree he should not have been brought back - especially since I watched Solo before watching Clone Wars or Rebels. So, that was a crappy character to resurect. But, Windu's death is only alluded to. We don't see him die. Don't see his dead body. Don't see two halves falling to ... Coruscant (sp?).

It is not in canon that Windu is dead.

I think Windu can be alive at least up until Rise of Skywalker because we hear his force ghost briefly talk to Rey. If he’s still alive, I say have him show up in the Mandalorian for a few episodes, then kill him for good.

Oh, I'm certain he will be dead before the last episode of Bad Batch - whenever that is.

speaking of.. my wager is that Omega grows up to be the magistrate Ahsoka fought in Mando.

Someone else mentioned that. But, I don't think so. Both Omega and Ezra have had story lines in which their childhood ideologies (good vs bad) have been tested. Both passed. I don't believe either will be bad.

Although .... Ahsoka was written specifically to be hated at first, then planned and did give her character growth to become one of the most liked character in all SW. And, Omega has been written so the audience loves her right off the bat. Filoni may be planning to write her character growth to be on a decline. I can't wait for season two to find out!

yeah... no guesses in how they want her to eventually turn out, but the actress' age and appearance seemed compatible.
and there's always still the option to set her up for a redemption arc... she's not a Jedi after all, so not as beholden to light/dark side dichotomies.

Another speculation I heard was that she is valuable in that she has some force ability.

I mean, Star Wars has brought back a lot of dead people, just look at how they Weekend-at-Bernies'ed Carrie Fisher in Rise of Skywalker.
