    I remember the autopsy establishing that Terri Schiavo was indeed brain dead. She could not have recognized and responded to a balloon as her mother maintained.

    She wasn't conscious and paralyzed, she was brain dead.

    Check the CT scan image.

    No that's not what they thought. They thought the guy was a vegetable but they knew his brain was still there and that it was intact. Terry's brain was gone for the most part. Physically gone. There was zero hope for a recovery.
