The opening clips are new. The opening clip appears in one of the previous two bits, but after that, it's new stuff.
It's looking increasingly likely that Tom Holland will be in Venom, which means the Sony Spider-verse is indeed adjacent to the MCU. Which means Amy Pascal isn't a dumbass after all, just a blabbermouth that can't keep a secret.
Hey, remember when Hans Zimmer quietly tiptoed away from DC movies, and then in a state of butt-hurt said he'd never score a superhero movie ever again? He lied. He's scoring "X-Men: Dark Phoenix".
Critic social media reactions are in for Black Panther, and apparently, it's awesome. Some are saying "top 5", and "Civil War", level good. https://www.cbr.com/black-panther-reactions-marvel-premiere/
Jon Campea says BP is best MCU film since Civil War. Considering we got Thor:Ragnorok and Spider-Man:Homecoming in that interval, that's pretty encouraging.
Butt-hurt DCEU fans are going to try to fuck with Black Panther. ...yeah....DCEU fans....not Klan members...DCEU fans......riiiight.... https://www.cbr.com/dceu-fans-black-panther-rt-score-spoil-fans/
They're also, according to the article, going to try same with IW. Not everything has to be a race or gender thing, sometimes idiots are just idiots because, well, they're idiots.
Perhaps, but isn't it funny how they always time it horribly? "Hey, let's wait for the BLACK superhero to go after Marvel!". "Hey, let's wait for the FEMALE Ghostbusters to cry about remakes!". I guess you need the third strike, huh? Okay, don't worry, it'll get here.
No, I'd need a tinfoil hat. There were a whole raft of unpleasant sexist and racist remarks aimed at the GB remake, but whining about remakes predated that somewhat, it was just the level of shit flung at the stars that made that particular movie stand out. The Marvel one is an entirely different beast - they're going for the two biggest targets, and that BP is a big target speaks more about Hollywood and comic books than it does about a bunch of pitchfork wielding paranoiacs claiming a vast conspiracy against the DCEU. BP should be just another Marvel movie to look forward to, not some benchmark. It's sad that almost 90 years after the heyday of Stepin Fetchitt society gets so exercised over something like BP. Should be par for the course by now. So no, it's not a 'black' thing, at least not directly. They're going for maximum embarrassment. And that a black superhero is such a fucking four leaf clover of a thing it can be used in such a way is embarrassing on a totally different level.
