She was my first "TV star crush" back in the day. What a disappointment when I found out she was older than my mom. She's pushing 70 now!

The article mentioned that she was allegedly caught with marijuana. If she has plead guilty and has been sentenced, it is not alleged.

It's my understanding that newspapers will often say alleged when reporting the criminal charges, including convictions, to stave off lawsuits for libel and slander.

If a person has entered a guilty plea it is no longer libel or slander to state something like that. It would be a fact I think.
