That's her shtick, though. She never explicitly takes a specific position on anything, let alone subsequently defends it. Time was, I was charitable enough to think it was due to some form of senility on her part -- but it's just how she trolls, always at the ready to bust out the old, "I never said that!" routine. After reading about this dude, what's been posted of his manifesto, and his video...... I think this sums him up pretty good.

The Cardassians had already invaded Bajor when Kira was a child, her parents were killed before she was age 10. There was no official Bajoran "military" during the Cardassian occupation. So Kira wasn't "military" in the way Dayton is referencing. She was a resistance fighter, a hit & run terrorist (at least in the eyes of the Cardies). If the Bajorans were ever going to retake their planet, they needed every able-bodied individual, man or woman, who was willing to pick up a phaser and fight. There wasn't any room for sexism.

Now his parents are rallying for more gun control. Half his killings were done with a knife, they're living in a heavily gun-controlled state, the shootings were in a gun free zone, and, come on, this was partly THEIR FAULT... but they're calling for more gun control.
