Since you couldn't be bothered/didn't dare to name the source: it's RT. Which is a huge Russian propaganda network aimed at spreading fake and twisted anti western 'news'. The right wing conspiracy sites have this BS too. Zerohedge, Abovetopsecret, you name it. Nobody with even a glimmer of journalistic decency does. Of course not. But I guess we'll find a good theory how the 'mainstream media suppresses the truth' or something soon To say it in the words of 2009: EPIC FAIL. Congrats, you fell for fake news brought to you by the Kremlin. They gave you what you 'knew' anyway and like a good sheep you spread it around as proof that your personal (and quite uninformed) opinion is valid. This, kids, is how disinformation works.
It still doesn’t change the fact that importing large numbers of Muslims isn’t a good thing for a country.
RT is pretty bad but even a broken clock is right sometimes. The usual suspects are just trying to avoid the hard reality of the topic.
Well said. If they attack the source then they can feel like what’s in the article isn’t true. They basically have their heads in the sand and I feel nothing but contempt for them.
I don't mind as long as they behave and integrate. From my personal experience it's like that: many Turks who have been here for 50 years and their 3rd generation offspring are a lot less integrated into society than eg Syrians who have been here for 2 years. I personally know Syrian refugees who speak better German than some 2nd and 3rd generation Turks (who have been born here). So no, I don't worry. I'll leave the worrying to those who get their 'news' only where it suits their preconceived opinions.
Might be because it isn't. Maybe. But hey, if it makes you happy when 'news' confirm your preconceived opinions go right ahead Just why do I see a circle jerk coming up in this thread? Dinner and 'ril, sitting in a tree...
She specifically said no go areas do exist in Germany and that you have to call them by their name and admit they exist before you can solve the problem. She also admitted it is the state's responsibility to restore security in those areas. She did not explicitly admit what everyone already knows to be true though; that no go areas are caused by the violent muslim animals she let squat in Europe. She just admitted no go areas exist and made it sound like who has caused these no go zones is some how a mystery. Thus why our usual suspects avoided the topic and simply did a song and dance about the messenger. They are just dishonest like that.
Someone whose German is better than mine should be able to find the original quote in context, but it’s a pretty sure bet the words “because of Muslims” weren’t included.
It is unclear. The quote in the RT story is short and removed from all context. Perhaps someone with German can listen to what she said and let us know.
At least Jens Spahn, Merkel's successor as head of the CDU seems to be vaguely aware of the reality that mass 3rd world muslim migration isn't a good thing.
Here's the relevant quote from @Dinner's quote after I pushed the "Translate" button. It sounds like she's talking about what we in the U.S. would call a "bad neighborhood".
It's my understanding we have similar No Go areas in the United States. I believe it is called "Chicago".
This is at least a little progress. A very small amount, I admit, but the left has finally moved from claiming no problems exist and anyone who dares to mention any problems is some how a racist to now where they are finally willing to admit some pretty big fucking problems do exist. Now, the only reason Merkel is willing to give this nod to reality is because voters punished her party in the polls and started voting for the few parties who were willing to admit reality. So her recebt move is an attempt to restore a shred of creditability as her's was completely shot by her past lies and obfuscations but it is still a welcome move.
