How dare we send Mexico's criminals and bums back to Mexico. Don't we know it is a hardship for Mexico to have to deal with Mexicans?

If it's a humanitarian crisis, let the UN handle it. Other wise allow me to quote the great Philosopher Nelson Muntz when I point and say, "Ha Ha!"

    I agree.

There is no reason Mexico couldn't be competitive with the US. Natural resources alone should give Mexico the advantage. The problem is the political corruption, top to bottom the government is only concerned with generating wealth.

The same claims could be rightfully made against the US government, the difference being US citizens don't illegally enter foreign countries en masse.

Perhaps we should do both sides a favor then and just shoot them on capture.

No, no, we're not talking about Mexico's southern border.

Yeah, US folks are flooding into Iraq to cash in on doing the jobs the Iraqis won't do.

    Yes. You're right. I forgot.

We also are not talking about the rapes and beatings they hand down on their southern border which has this thing called a *gasp* wall on it. :soma:

I'm not sure if this should make me angry or sad at this situation. It's simply a no-win situation for these workers, apparently. By providing a "leak" for the pressure for so long, I can't help but think we've contributed to the continued corruption of the Mexican government.

As I've suggested before, they should just fly them all back to Mexico......then push them out at 5,000 feet. It solves our problem, reduces crime in Mexico, and is actually good for the environment by fertilizing the land.

Just think of it, we could repopulate the trees in the rain forest in the first year alone.

... I weep diamonds for the poor, hapless Mexican government. How dare we inflict it with its own citizenry?

I'm of two minds on this.
On one hand, the US carries a bit of the blame for allowing this to come to what we are facing today. Amnesties are handed out every decade or two and then absolutely nothing is done to stem the flow, a flow I might add that is highly beneficial to the Mexican government monitarily.

On the other more base instinct side, I say it's not my problem and fuck 'em in the ear. The time has come for the governments of these southern countries to figure out what it will take to make them want to stay and build a country they can be proud of, but with all the free money they get off of these people they just figure why do anything?

I know all these people are doing is trying to do is make a better life for themselves and theirs, I really have no beef with that it's basic human nature. I do wish the criminal element were kept out at all costs but it seems we here will incarcerate our border guards to curry favor with Mexico first and frankly that sends me through the roof.
I've said it a thousand times. Do it legally, then come on in and use the US bills to wipe your ass with for all I care just get your hands out of my pockets damnit, those bills are mine.

It is very much a humanitarian crisis especially for the Mexican economy. A fair portion of the money made in this country is sent home to Mexico and placed in the banks to earn interest in preparation for their retirements.
