Then you should be able to stop playing coy and identify it. Unless you thought Atlas Shrugged was a documentary.

Any of the other libertarians here know what he's talking about?

This thread needs multiple nukes from orbit.

That would be the best option.

So, not surprisingly, Castle can't give us an example of a functioning libertarianism, and nobody else can, either...

I certainly can. Am I going to do your homework for you, as if it even is homework, rather than something you learned in high school at the latest? No, I certainly won't.

No, KIRK1ADM, if you want any credibility, you're going to do your homework. You made the claim. You back it up or :danceforme:.

Ah, so you think that a documented case of bad behavior means that all behavior by such an entity must be bad. Cool, that makes it so much easier to prove that you're wrong.

No, I think it's indicative of a principle, and because that principle arises from an entity which persists, the principle persists; because the principle persists, the tendency toward that behavior persists.

Fine. Don't read this and say you did.

Again, this shouldn't have needed pointing out to you. Maybe the United States didn't exist yet when you were in school, though.

So assuming the POV of the article is valid (a very big assumption), a largely agrarian 18th-century prototype of <8,000,000 inhabitants, dependent for the most part on slave labor, is your idea of a libertopia. That's like saying "Ancient Greece was a democracy."

    Past tense.

Let's see you world-build a nation like that in the contemporary world. You can't do it.

Fine, now apply that to the information in the link I provided. If you are consistent, then you can only draw one conclusion, that being the conclusion that John Castle is full of shit. Sucks to be in that paradoxical box, but you created it for yourself. Enjoy.

Bolded his belief. He'll try to deny it, but it won't fool anybody unless he denounces the labor trafficking discussed in the IBT article I linked. But if he does that, then he renounces libertarianism, by virtue of the trap he inadvertently cast for himself. He's a perfect idiot.

No, you bolded your unfounded assumption about what my belief is. Then you proceeded to try to tie me into a strawman. Do you think it's going to work?

You have a thick throaty under sigh. It makes me wonder if your world is beneath the sea. I don't get this point. I'm thick like that. But then I'm just the queen of the very very cheap shot.

So how did he end up with a stump instead of an arm anyway?

Oh, and reading back through this thread WF used to be a lot more racist and snarky. Just look at some of the jokes Evenflow made about Indians.

    Good times, good times.
