Poor Nick, if only he'd only added "...to California", he would have gotten a polar opposite response.

Were you born retarded or did someone slip some lead into your food over the years?

I'm saying, if you don't like the traffic of New York City or Jersey City, then move, it isn't going to change.

You know it. Some of my buds who took work in the D.C. area come to work two hours early then sleep in their cars. This cuts the one hour+
    drive down to 15 minutes.

Seoul Korea has kick-ass traffic. Imagine New York with double the population density.

How would Mewa be closer to his daughter if he moved to California? That's some fuzzy math, there.

Fittingly, I ran straight into a rather icky traffic jam on my way to class this evening. Probably cost me about 15 minutes of instruction time, all told. Eh well, it could've been worse--I could've been stuck behind (or IN) whatever accident led to the jam.

    Airlines are funny like that.

If she's living with her mother and he doesn't have custody, isn't that kidnapping? My niece's baby momma tried that once. Did some time in the pokey for it.

Ooooh...so Mewa abused his children and got them taken away from him.

    I get it!

Traffic has been found to follow at least the basic laws of fluid dynamics. The only way to really mitigate traffic jams is that the moment the person at the head of the chain starts to move, everyone else has to start moving, whether it be one car behind the head of the chain or fifty. They have to be moving at the same rate and braking at the same rate. Essentially, every car has to be driven by one driver.

Unfortunately, this won't be happening short of auto-driving technology like those seen in I, Robot or Minority Report. This technology is being worked on (there's a mock highway in California with a version of it), but it still doesn't...work...very well.
