    Seriously??

    Trump lastnight on twitter......

North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un just stated that the “Nuclear Button is on his desk at all times.” Will someone from his depleted and food starved regime please inform him that I too have a Nuclear Button, but it is a much bigger & more powerful one than his, and my Button works!

I really need to move further from this airport near me. I'm sure it would be a target in an all out nuclear war. :calli:

You know, while all of this is awful, I think the most telling bit is the 'will someone please inform him'. Trump still thinks he's throwing spitballs while other, presumably more serious people are in charge.

Then again, he might be thinking of Moscow.

Well given that NK nukes probably hit a corn field in Nebraska when targeted at LA it really doesn't matter

Its ridiculous, the most powerful man in the world sitting with his phone, banging out angry tweets about how many nukes he has.

All we can really hope for is they have him well contained. I do trust all those generals he surrounds himself with that they won't let him near that big shiny button. But then... the great nuclear Twitter War of 2018 would be kinda fitting.

My office is 9 miles west of downtown Manhattan. I've been waiting to be incinerated since Reagan.

This is a fairly appropriate response to the psychopathic goofball in North Korea.

I grade President Trump A+ for this one.

I'm not against a preemptive conventional strike against his war materiel, but I'd just as soon not have us use nukes again.

The problem is any conventional strike and he'd go total war. He'd have to our else his people would know he is a paper tiger. The whole regime is built up the myth of national defense.

As always you're an idiot for assuming that the North Koreans are stupid. You're really a racist at heart.

If they target LA they will hit LA. It might not be exactly where in LA they want but it will be in LA.

And my comment was about all out nuclear war implying that the free fire of nukes could lead to a conflict not just between the US and North Korea but between the US and China and maybe even Russia if things really went out of control.

If they target LA they'd be doing good to hit the west coast. If they hit the west coast they'd be lucky to get a successful detonation and not a fizzle. But my bet is if Best Korea launched three or four missiles at the US, none of them would make it to warhead separation.

And if it should happen, if the Norks launch on us, then you'd better pray to every deity you can think of that their missiles break up in flight. No US President, whether you like them or not, can ignore inbound ballistic missiles. North Korea would cease to exist within an hour and then the world would be a very, very different place indeed.

I don't know if I'm willing to bet the lives of everyone on the West Coat on that. But, at the same time, I don't know what we could do to stop this threat without triggering a larger conflict. I'm putting my faith in the smarter, cooler heads at State (Tillerson) and Defense (Mattis). Mainly Mattis.

Again another person who thinks North Korea is a joke.

Thank God you're not in charge. You all keep looking at North Korea as a joke but they keep progressing along building nukes and missiles. At what point are you going to pull your head from your butt and take a whiff of reality?

And even if they broke up in flight that can not be ignored. North Korea would have to be immediately crushed.

They probably buy their electronics parts from China so I bet they generally work fairly well. It is not like GPS Nav is all that hard.

nuclear weapons are 72 year old technology.

reliable ballistic missiles capable of carrying nuclear warheads are nearly 60 year old technology.

We would be foolish not to take the North Koreans seriously

Well, it is a good thing some people elected Donnie little hands to play this game instead of a more level headed woman. Nukes don't care what your skin color is. The only thing I want to know is how is this going to be Obama's fault. I bet they crack a ducey on those mental gymnastics.

Would everyone who holds a sincere belief that North Korea will be provoked into launching nuclear weapons solely because DJT was mean to Kim Jong-Un 0n Twitter please raise your hand?

Can North Korea rely on a missile right now to hit America with a nuke? Probably not. But they can certainly hit the area around them.

But all these people who keep looking at North Korea as a joke keep glossing over the fact that North Korea is making steady progress.

They do have a missile that can reach continental America. Now's it's just a matter of refining it to be reliable and continuing to work on making nukes smaller to fit on said missile. The North Koreans aren't stupid contrary to what some here think. They are making progress at a relative good pace.

Oh ye who speak without knowledge . . .

But anyway, there's a profound difference between invading/crushing North Korea with conventional arms - should they launch at us and fail - and responding to a nuclear attack on the US. The second case means we launch on them, and our missiles and warheads most assuredly work as intended. No-one wants to see that, except possibly Dayton, and he's an idiot.
