Ain't no WHOA about it. I asked to have that fixed when it happened. And you don't EVER tell someone their warning doesn't count because of a technical snafu.

    No..Listkeeper is right.

Listkeeper asked for it to be fixed and I asked for it to be fixed twice because I decided the warning should stand for ignoring a mod directive.

Why it was never fixed it beyond me.

Yes. I've learned to make sure my ducks are in a row before I go ballistic.

JTK was an educational experience, to be sure.

I'd like to see where the policy is that if a moderator makes a technical mistake in giving a warning it means the warning doesn't count?

Miscommunication, I guess. I thought Nick fixed it.

    I.. um... don't know how.

Never said he wasn't, just that staff fights are as productive as the things that cause them.

I fixed the problem that caused it, but I was kinda busy with a server move, and then went on vacation for a week.

Heaven forbid someone should fix a problem in my absence...

Maybe you shouldn't have taken upon yourself to publically say Listkeeper messed it up so it didn't count...especially since when has that ever been the case?

At least when the mess up is a technical glitch and not a policy one.

You could have just asked me how to do it while I was taking a break from my administrative duties.

But here's why I didn't fix it when I got back.

    Fairness.

If I revoked and then reissued the warning after I got back, he would have that warning for an additional ten day. Then, after I did that, I'd have to revoke and reissue all the other warnings that had been screwed up, which would have been unfair to those people as well.

So I left it. If anyone else wants to go ahead and do that, by all means they can. But I'm not going to, its not fair to anyone.

It sounds good, but I know for a fact it isn't true.

The very same day, you yourself gave Uncle Albert a warning, fucked it up the same way and reversed it.

Unfortunately, the time/date stamps aren't there now, but you will see it also says two weeks like Listkeeper's.

    So? Doesn't mean I still wasn't busy.

Apparently you're smart enough to figure out how to look up warnings, so how come you didn't reverse his and reissue it?

So let's look at the timestamps here.

Warning given at 2:04AM, the 28th of March. I didn't read the thread again after you legitimized the warning until the 29th at 12:15. I then went to work until 11 o clock at night, closed the board down, and then O2C and I moved the server. Both he and I got 5 hours of sleep and I spent the better part of the next few days troubleshooting other problems, and recovering from a fucking panic attack. I then went on vacation.

So if you think you are right, by all means, continue, but I don't give a damn.

That is just a lovely attitude. I'm so fond of it every single day. :marathon:

I didn't do it, because I didn't know how you did it. I still don't for that matter. I never claimed to be very good with the technical aspects of the board.

Of course I'm not going to do it now after what you said to Zodiac today. But you made Listkeeper look bad and revoked a justified warning, in essence. For no good reason, IMO.

And I don't see how it would be unfair..he's had the warning the whole time..it was just a technical glitch that kept the numbers from showing. Fixing that would not have been unfair.

Even without the point system, we can still count and add when necessary, no? If I see a warning with a zero point value, I'm still going to count it as a warning.

Publicly correcting his statement is entirely acceptable. Nick stepped outside his bounds on commenting on policy.

I think you guys are blowing something way out of proportion that only would have taken a few minutes to fix instead of arguing.

The points are fixed, I've corrected myself in the thread.

    The end.

When I saw the thread title I thought Flashlight had been granted Shelter access. :busheep:

I got the impression that Listy was less concerned with the problem being corrected than the fact that you undermined the shit out of him in public.

    Maybe I'm wrong.
