Well, gay people out of the closet and prancing in public with their lifestyle are just asking for people to pass judgement on their lifestyles, too. They should suck it up when bigots have their say. If they wanted peace, they should have kept their mouths shut and kept their activities secret.

See how dumb that is? It's really all about PC and popular opinion when it comes to talking shit about people's lives. The crazy religious people deserve to be mocked but the flaming queers need protecting from the mean words of bigots. It's the hypocrisy that's telling about society.

I have no idea WTF having 19 kids and undergoing a risky pregnancy that could leave them without a mother has ANYTHING to do with gays.

Not only that, but you're absolutely fixated on this. We're free to say whatever the fuck we want. Suck it up, get over it. :)

That woman is an inconsiderate, creepy cultist who should have been stopped well before child #10. She's Octomom x2.

If they're doing it for a TV show about gay people prancing around in public, then sure. Why not?

I've never said they were "asking for it." But they've taken extremely private aspects of their lives and put them into the public sphere. They shouldn't be surprised when people react to their actions, and they should be prepared for the reactions they get.

I'll say it again: they put pictures of their dead child on Twitter. They knew people would make nasty remarks about it and they didn't care. Or they're so naive it's a wonder they can tie their own shoes. And I've watched the show. They're not naive. They're completely in control of their own image. This is what they want.

    Oh, please!

Inconsiderate? In what way? Because they don't seek society's approval for their life choices? Fuck that shit. :dayton:

Octomom is a problem because she expects the public to pay for her choices. Hell, if she was a black ghetto mom collecting checks we'd be hearing how it's her right to have as many kids as she wants and it's racist to say she shouldn't.

The only thing I'm fixated on is the concept that it's individual choice, whether others approve or not, as long as they are taking care of their own business.

I think that is disturbing and tasteless.

But then my own sister has pictures from her stillborn's funeral. I think that is disgusting as well, but I've learned that some people deal with grief in unusual and odd ways sometimes.

They do support their own children, so on that I have no issue with them. My issue with is that having babies does put a certain amount of stress on a woman's body and some tolerate it better than others. She is putting herself at a definite risk...for what? She already has 19 kids. There's a point where a little common sense says, "Enough already!"

Too late. I already snuck into her house and tied her tubes while she was sleeping. No more personal choice for her.

Its not sexism at all to say that one partner relies more on another. Its a partnership. When one partner dies quite often the other has an extremely difficult time coping. It has absolutely nothing at all whatsoever to do with sexism.

Michelle herself is the major driving force behind that family. She is the one who organizes and manages virtually everything. It would be the same as an office loosing a trusted and highly organized secretary. Or an excellent boss.

Last year we had a beloved friend killed in a horrible accident. His wife is having a horrible time holding her life together with two children. We have life insurance on me SOLELY because if something happens to me - my husband will have no choice but to hire a live in nanny. It is one thing to have that happen to you suddenly - but to do it DELIBERATELY is no different and to discuss same on someone who is in a public setting - than the discussion that happens when someone deliberately has children while putting themselves at risk with any other addiction (and this is an addiction). Or some other such thing.

I can't comment on the baby thing. I intentionally didn't go look at it. That's just heartbreaking.

And I would have a hard time coping if something happened to my husband - he works in a very high risk job. I wouldn't even know where to start - but if he were to deliberately do it being a turd I would be even more devastated. Might just dig him up again and beat him with the shovel.....

So parents shouldn't be allowed to do anything intentionally risky or they are bad parents who clearly don't care about their kids and responsibilities?

If that standard is used here, it should be used everywhere.

There is a pretty big difference between doing something that is 'potentially dangerous' and taking certificates and classes and that to prevent accidents from someone who is deliberately going out and doing something un-necessary over and over again just to prove that they can after they have been told that their risks have multiplied.

She had a hard time finding Dr's who would support her in the last few pregnancies. I think that when the Dr who has been covering your health for several years refuses to continue to support it because of medical issues, not personal ethical ones...that's a clue and crosses over into the realm of 'lack of common sense'. She has a far higher risk of dying from complications than my husband has of getting blown up because I forget to throw a bounce sheet in the dryer.

But debating a common sense issue over and over kind of starts to be beating a dead horse over a time too lol.

(and no, none of her kids are disabled. She has really been extremely lucky to have so many pregnancies with so few complications this far. For whatever reason, I don't even know, why I've followed the show since kid 12 or something. Total waste of time.....but she was so freaking perky it was like this black hole that sucked u in.......(total pun))

I'd say you surrender the freedom to make a lot of risky choices when you take responsibility for another life, yes.

Not just risks with anybody's health, but with your income, with any kind of illegal activity. In other words, play time is basically over. You now work in a child-rearing factory and no choice can run contrary to that purpose.

If they're the type of attention-seeking fruitcake that puts all their business out on display for everyone, they yeah. I won't feel any sorrier for them tha I do for the Duggars.

Parents should know that their life choices don't affect just them anymore, and plan accordingly. It's like when I see those parents of obese children on Dr. Phil who get mad when their kids start sneaking food when Mommy and Daddy refuse to change their own bad eating habits.

It's all good an dandy that they pay their own way and have no debts and yes it's their choice to breed like rabbits. But what choice will the older children have if Mom dies giving birth to another child that apparently several doctors have said will put her at unnecessary risk? And that excuse about big families being around since forever and older kids have always raised younger ones doesn't fly. :dayton:
