It's been what, a week since a high ranking, pro gun control Democrat in California was arrested for smuggling RPG' s to Muslim terrorists? No thread? Sort of like how there has been little national coverage of such delicious hypocrisy.

So is it only a big deal when a state senator says something dumb about abortion, but not actually trying to be an international arms dealer?!

To be fair, if these arms are meant to fight supernatural demons under San Francisco's Chinatown, I think we all owe Yee a debt of gratitude.

Where in the world do you get the idea that this hasn't been covered in the media? All the major news websites and newspapers have covered this story prominently. There hasn't been 24/7 hyperventilating about it, but that's generally a good thing.

Hope he rots in prison, preferably with a sore ass from constant raping.

News here said he might claim "entrapment." They've got a REALLY good case against you if that's your best defense.

What should this thread be about? He got busted. OK. He was a gun control advocate. He was not the actual dealer but a go-between. I think all here would agree he's a dumbass hypocrite.

Is it leading every night? Does it compare with say the heroic coverage of Wendy Davis, or the hyperventilating over Scott Walker? Please. As noted, this story has EVERYTHING, and it hasn't rated so much as a Wordfoge thread, and will be soon be conveniently forgotten. Stupid plots like this are why I stopped watching Sons Of Anarchy, and we'll see nothing near the coverage it deserves. To be honest, it's a goddamn Christmas present for guys like me.

Even mburtnok missed it, is he so out of the loop?

I don't get it. What angle should we jump on for a thread? Come on dude...give a clue. A sample thread title. Or better yet...YOU start this missing thread!

Sample thread titles, "Nothing To Yee Here" or "Weapons For Yee, But Not For Thee"

So a sitting state official looking to smuggle heavy arms to Muslim terrorists isn't important. Well that's one take, I guess...

If he had been a Republican and a gun rights supporter you'd better bet your gerbil infested ass the media would be hyperventilating about it.

Piers Morgan may have even put off his firing for a few days to foam over the mouth on it......

I agree, people should be all over it. Weird how Google doesn't even spit out a lot of non-local sources for the story.

The funny thing is the same spin and silence in the media is taking place here. As its been pointed out there is so much going on with this arrest that the media would normally be all over it. Except it's "their guy" . So they do their best to bury it. Despite Garamet's attempt at deflection it's not about that at all. This is pure unadulterated bias by the media.

I see what you posted but how come there is no statement that the FBI agent was posing as an agent for Islamic terrorist. It coulda been a Sons of Anarchy type deal.

Yeah. Too bad it doesn't show up at The New York Times, The Washington Post, CNN, etc. Too bad I didn't encounter the story on several lefty blogs before I saw it here.

    Oh, wait.

Interesting, though, that the first news headlines I see from Google are Christian Science Monitor and CBS Local. Usually if you search a term, you'll get at least one NYT headline.

So really, I guess Google is biased.

Is it really so hard to admit that if Yee was some Bible thumpin pol from say Tennessee trying to smuggle guns to, I dont know, South African abortionists, that this story wouldn't have a higher profile?

They were on day one. Meanwhile the NY Times did what. Bury is on page 21A and gave it a paragraph. The LA Times, when they got around to it, didn't mention Yee's political affiliation until the end of the article and even then it was almost in passing. Many of the articles have been mute or nearly so regarding the arms trafficking charges.

In a world of logic and blind journalism you'd be 100% right. Meanwhile how long have they been harping about a missing airplane?

Whoa, this is the site that went on and on about a guy in Florida shooting a "scary person". This is the site who is going on and on about a missing plane, where there is not news to report.

:chris: Connection....make it. Viable story... one that should at least be touched on, but that was not...at least here.

[Volpone]"A gun is exactly the same as a car or a hammer."[/]

When Gunforge takes the subject more seriously, perhaps the rest of us will.
