American football is the perfect TV sport.

Plus the individual plays make it both more strategic and tactical than rugby.

As usual, the US took something invented by someone else and made it better. ;)

Man!! So since I last posted, he's flown back to Buffalo and discharged from the hospital! Remarkable!

I wrote this kid off a few weeks ago. I was basing that on the type of patients I'm used to who suffer cardiac arrest. Clogged arteries and damaged/deformed heart muscles who don't usually get good advanced life support at or near the time of the arrest. This was a young, healthy guy who got an impact induced arrhythmia and all the appropriate interventions in a timely manner. This is amazing!!

I'm going to predict that if he wants to, he WILL play football again! I'm basing that off te NHL player Chris Pronger who was slapped in a chest by a hockey puck in 1998 and suffered commotio cordis. Had to be revived on the ice and spent 2 weeks in ICU. He went on to have an NHL Hall of Fame career.

If there is anyone who is dedicated it is a person who has made it to pro-football. It is also the sort of person who is going to take the medical advice to get their career back. It is not your standard heart attack person who has no regiment or ability to stick to workout schedules.
