It's not unusual for us to see deer eating the shrubbery and other landscaping around the station, especially at night. And we're located in a busy part of the city...

Like most Texas deer, though, they're small. I've thought about setting out some mousetraps during deer season...

Suburbs are perfect for animals: not as busy as towns, but a far more reliable food supply, especially for an animal not averse to eating what humans throw away. And since the humans in those areas are less likely to be hunters, the animals gradually lose their fear.
The foxes around here are a bloody nuisance, thanks mostly to the idiots who insist on putting their rubbish out for collection the night before the binmen come... :bang:

Binmen! I learned a new foreign word! :)

Actually, that's a lot more dignified than our "garbage men."

Not when they show up when I'm trying to sleep in. They don't get called anything dignified then...

A buddy of mine came to town this past weekend, and we spent two days at the gun club and followed them up with a trip to Graceland.

    Day three...Graceland

Vernon and Gladys' room. It's dark because no flash photography is allowed inside.

The dining room. It's not dark because the flash accidentally went off and we were politely yelled at to cease and desist with the indoor picture taking.

The back of Casa De Elvis....'cause everybody knows what the front looks like.

Some international fan's memorials. Probably close to half of the visitors at Graceland when we were there were from foreign countries.

In honor of the Graceland visit, you should have taken a few TVs to the range. :)

    My Uni room.

    Yes, it is amazing.

Yes, that IS a sofa bed you see.

25 minute walk to city centre. 15 minutes walk from uni. 2 minutes walk to local shops. Chippy is 3 buildings down. House, not flat. Large kitchen. Communal room. Garden with plum tree. £252 a month.

    Fuck yeah.

I've only visited one in my life, and that was a friend's in 1976. Except for the laptop and feminine decoration, it looked exactly like that.

Fun thing with my Ren Fair outfit is that our partner business is a costumer and doesn't do the peasant gear. IOW, all of us are dressed at least at the low end of the nobility. This last weekend QP had this great crimson and cream Lady in Waiting dress on and I was in that getup again, but with a pretty sweet cloak...

Getting to the point, its a blast having everyone up to and including the armour jocks bowing and curtsying. Especially the curtsying, those bodices can give you a bird's eye of some girls' belly buttons.

1 issue in this area is Kanji... some Japanese characters are taken from Chinese... and they don't always have the same meaning in both languages, even if they look exactly the same.

I saw a little poster with a character on it that said "harmony". In chinese it just said "and": 和 . I guess its sorta similar  There have been a bunch of other cases where it didn't make sense either.

Went camping with some old friends of mine the weekend before last. It's supposed to be an annual thing, but it's been about 18 months since the last get-together.

Much drinking, eating and shooting ensued.

    First evening, cooking and drinking.

Those are some fantastic pictures! I wasn't aware of a picture thread on WF, and if I was, I wasn't aware that I was aware of it. Anyhoo, a pic or two of me as of 2 weeks ago.
