Go visit Iceland out of season, very untouristy then and the scenery is unbelievable, you'll get some wonderful shots, maybe even of the northern lights. Icelands big on seclusion too. And everyone should spend some time in the Blue Lagoon, most chilled place ever.
Looks like you caught "Honest Abe" mid-stroke! Also is that Tony Blair sneaking up behind you, trying to pick your pocket?
Bagged my first 3 Wainwrights (lakeland fells over 1000 feet) yesterday. Walked more than twice as far as I've ever walked before, about 15 miles over occassionally trackless hills. It was awesome, but very hard work, the last 4 miles back to the car was torture. My legs and feet are completely destroyed today The weather was actualy pretty good, but we were in the clouds for all of the peaks...
Interesting pix, Dan, but you need to practice a different "camera look." You've got the same expression on your face for all of 'em, and you're also being shot at the same angle in all of 'em.
Well, im kinda stuck, because of my eyes i cant quite look straight. I always need to look to oneside a bit
This is about 1/5 of the way in, just before we climbed into the cloud. We walked from the lake you can see in the distance
I generally try not to have any pictures of me floating around the net, and this place have full of looneys and retards certainly isn't where I'm going to change my mind. I know, no one here could connect a picture of me to the real person and vice versa, but I've got way to many friends who are becoming exhebitionist facebook junkies and make me overcompensate a bit by being overly cautious.
Anything over 2000 feet is a mountain. We did a 2178, a 2425 and a 3117, and narrowly missed (we didnt see it because of fog) a 2425.
I think I must be hungry, because the image of "beautiful" in my head translated as "tasty", and now I can't help but imagine how if that was a giant cake, what it would taste like....
Most of these are too contrasty because they are photos taken with my phone of photos taken with my Nikon EM. All of these were taken on a 1979 Nikon EM and they were developed by myself in the dark room. And they look much better in person, but my phone completely destroys them. D: I'm wondering if I used more natural light if they'll look better. I'll make my own thread sometime. But only after I get my camera fixed and start putting my shots on disc. BTW, the first shot is upside down. D:
