Some pics of my trip to Amsterdam... I went with my parents, just a fun day out... We went to Madame Tussauds, a canal cruise and the zoo(Artis)... Part 1(mom's camera):
Damn interesting place, Id love to go there sometime. But i have this odd feeling i might just get very very stoned and miss all the culture
Bought a new three piece suit. It's English cut, it fits like a glove. I love it. Took some fun pictures. Wish I had better lighting, though. It's light blue. It's dark, but you can see how form fitting it is. I love the way the tie sticks out from a profile shot. That's what I tie should do. Borderline Ascot. I believe in Harvey Dent. Obama. Change. Voice. Youth. Life. Decision. Toaster.
OK. I'm curious. Do you have a buttoniere? I got a 2 piece done in Thailand that is very similar and I like it a lot but when I got it home I noticed that it didn't have a buttoniere. Poked around the Internet a bit and apparently that is the stylish thing now, because it doesn't break up the line of the lapel and gives it a "custom" look. I dunno.
I do have a boutonniere hole, but it is the "stylish" thing to do to not have one. I mean, before they removed them completely, they just made pointless fake boutonniere holes, so I guess they just decided to stop half-assing it. Personally, I think they need to be a part of the suit. Boutonnieres are incredibly classy.
Nouveau Picture Thread: My office on the weekend. I've got a sick speaker, hence the asymmetrical distribution. Whadyagonnado?
Just near where I live. The road is two minutes away, the hill with the church on is about 25 min walk away, 2 min from the town centre. It's where we used to drink underage when I was younger. Both taken with a camera phone, so I'm really impressed with the quality of the hill picture.
Total accident. I took a fast shot of the dog without checking the camera, and the autofucus and flash were both off. Ghost Hunters!
If I were a better painter and I wasn't a pussy so I actually was painting, Either of Mini's snapshots would be a nice starting point for a landscape. In the first one, you either need to take out the church spire or maybe move the church over to the far right, where the treeline is lower, so you can put in more of the church. As it is, it is a little distracting because your brain has to stop and process what the Hell that pointy thing is, sticking up in the middle of the picture. On the street scene, the contrast needs some tweaking so the buildings aren't quite so dark. Don't get me wrong. They're both very lovely snapshots and the composition is very nice. I'm just saying that if you used them as references for paintings, you'd likely change a thing or two. And yes, the picture quality looks better from a cell phone than my actual digicam.
