Their legal reporting is sometimes kinda bad (like they get it 180° wrong) and they have cranks on as guests more than ABC News. But then again I do watch NewsHour more than ABC, so maybe there’s a sampling bias.
To quickly respond to some of the materials in the opening post: The NPR employee's opinion piece doesn't attempt to say that the outlet doesn't tell the truth. Rather, it attempts to argue that with the election of Trump, NPR has swung into advocacy. It claims: The Mueller Report found that Russia tried to interfere in the 2016 election on Trump's behalf. It also found that there were numerous contacts between Russia and the Trump campaign prior to the election. It found the evidence they had of these contacts, however, did not rise to the level where criminal charges could be brought. You can see it from the horse's mouth at the link below: https://www.justice.gov/archives/sco/file/1373816/dl That is a world of difference from "no credible evidence of collusion." Also, he does not support the notion that Russiagate "quietly faded from our programming" with facts. Assuming for argument's sake that it is true, he doesn't support the notion that either it should not have quietly faded from the programming or the notion that the reason it faded from programming was due to bias rather than because there was nothing additional to be written about the story after the Mueller Report came out and it was clear that there were not going to be criminal charges against anyone. As to the laptop story: at the time it broke, there were open questions about a) was it Hunter's actual laptop b) What was on it c) could its purported contents be trusted? d) what does it matter as to Joe Biden's candidacy? It's now been confirmed that it was truly Hunter's laptop. AFAIK, it's still an open question as to what was on it besides dick pics. Nothing that I'm aware of that possibly implicates Joe Biden in any sort of wrongdoing. It's also clear that there were -- and are still -- concerns about the contents potentially being Russian disinformation or otherwise influenced by political operatives. https://www.politico.com/news/2020/10/19/hunter-biden-story-russian-disinfo-430276 Against this backdrop, I'm not sure one can reasonably fault NPR or any news outlet that is trying to be ethical from being wary about reporting on the subject. As to the lab leak theory, NPR has certainly covered it. https://www.npr.org/2021/06/03/1002...dismissed-theories-that-covid-leaked-from-lab In the above link, there is the explanation for why the coverage had been downplayed, which reasonable people can disagree as to whether it was the appropriate approach at the time. https://www.npr.org/2021/06/17/1007...-a-reporter-investigates-and-finds-roadblocks So a lot of the notion that "they knew" what you claim they knew is false. https://www.npr.org/sections/goatsa...y-about-the-origin-of-the-sars-cov-2-pandemic To quote FF: Normally, I would point out that it's possible to be merely mistaken, and thus not spouting propaganda. But as we've seen so many times... Every accusation is a confession.
There's also such a thing as "editorial judgement". If you think some stories are not being covered enough you're allowed to start your own news operation where it's all laptops all day.
Or as a journalist you could tell your audience point to the leaked Faucci where they knew that Covid was likely a lab leak and they didn’t want to be blamed because they were conducting gain of function research just through the private sector and then you could apologize for the way people were treated for simply suggesting it was a lab leak and then demand an apology from the government for jawboning social media to ban people who said they thought that it was a lab leak and then you could demand accountability from the government, but they won’t do that because of TDS. They’d rather keep their audience in the dark because they have to do everything they can to get Biden re-elected.
I’ve brought it up several times here and it gets ignored every time. Read for yourself. https://comer.house.gov/2022/1/come...d funded, potential on novel bat coronaviruses.
I didn’t say I wanted to read it. If I did, I do know how to find many articles regarding such subjects. In fact, one might even say that is my super power. No, my point in asking is to demonstrate that someone obviously did report it. So, your assertion that it isn’t being reported is such fucking nonsense that even you should be able to pick up on the complete dishonesty of your statement.
Yeah Fox News reported it, you know, the news organization that people like you say aren’t news. Independent news outlets also covered it. Has anyone been held accountable, no they haven’t. They just want to move on and act as if they did nothing wrong.
Poor, put-upon FF. Always wanting people to apologize for making him feel bad. Sit down, you pencil-necked simpleton and grow the fuck up. .
First, Fox News isn’t actually “news”. They are entertainment and it’s right there on their website. Same with MSNBC and CNN. Any 24 hour news show, like MTV (not actually music television) has to find “news” to fill 24 hours. If you want anyone here to ever take you seriously, find an actual news source.
Look at the fascist apologist butthurt because I’m calling out journalists who’s complicit in people losing their jobs and businesses and stepping on their first amendment rights during the pandemic even though big box stores were allowed to stay open. On behalf of those people, go fuck yourself, fucking fascist apologist. Eat a dick, dick. I’m not surprised one bit that you don’t give a shit about those people.
I don’t give a shit if you take me seriously or not, you people are fucking lemmings that I don’t take seriously. If you don’t believe me then look it the fuck up yourself, Dr. Faucci leaked emails. I’m done repeating myself, it’s just going to get ignored anyway. Or you’ll make excuses for it.
Looks like you’re four pages into yet another self-owning thread, kid. Did your parents have any other kids or just you?
I see we've reached the point in the thread where Federal Farmer just reaches into the Big Bag of Grievances and chucks them by the handful into a salad shooter.
No, but this is the reason @Steal Your Face has started flinging poop at the trannies again. Him and @Uncle Albert get humiliated and then it is back to telling the trans and gays how they are going to not allow them to transition. I get it, I woke up and put on my super cute magical girl battle dress, had my cup of coffee, and then magically forced FF to make a complete ass out of himself with this thread. You are all welcome for the laughs of this thread.
