Okay, I think you might want to reword that a little. Unless your objection really is about the Endangered White Male.
What I hate is the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment. Even though it did help make George W . Bush president. It was intended to maintain the rights of freed slaves in every part of the U.S. Instead it has been magically applied to virtually EVERYTHING. Which was definitely not the intent.
What I'm saying is, yes, women and black people can vote, Whoopty doo, great for them, their vote is still meaningless.
I can spell out a ton reasons why the equal protection clause is not what liberals and the rest of the people think it is.
Only if you subscribe to the belief that there was less corruption and power-brokering prior to the progressive era. I'd like to see you try to make that argument.
If you want to be anal about such things, then you should probably limit things like the First Amendment to the forms of speech available in the 18th Century, and the Second Amendment to black powder weapons.
It amazes me your ability to lie to yourself as well as you do. It's one thing to lie to us. We're used to it, and no one expects any different from you, but I really get the feeling that you've managed to 'purge' your mendacity and rank cowardice displayed from your mind. It's not that you didn't serve, as pointed out many did not. It's when you got called out, you got defensive, like you always do, and then you lied, like you always do (chicken coop anyone?). You claimed that you were NOT a chicken hawk b/c you really really REALLY wanted to serve. You pretended to be so upset that you couldn't join, constantly wailing at how unfair it was. You even claimed to have gone to a recruiter but been turned down due to age. But then tragedy struck, they raised the enlistment age. When this was pointed out to you.... silence. It was pointed out again... silence. Again and again your cowardice was raised but again and again you would just stop posting in the thread, never admitting you never had the balls to join. Oh, and once again you display your ignorance of the military. If you wanted to fight you would have fought. It's why I enlisted even though I had a degree. I wanted to go infantry (SF actually, but heart murmur meant I couldn't go 18X), and by enlisting you get to choose your job. My buddy 'Old Man' Oates was 39 when he enlisted in the infantry, and then volunteered to come over as a replacement to a unit in Iraq. During the Surge.
The guy who fixed my cable last week was Navy SeaBee who joined the reserves at 31 and deployed to Afghanistan or Iraq (I can't remember which one) when he was 40. I remember back on TBBS when Dayton was moaning about "wanting to serve" but not being able to enlist due to age. Because he was living here at the time, I suggested the Texas State Guard. Sure, it's not really the "military", but he could've dressed up in a uniform, gone to meetings, and helped out during floods and such, but I don't think he ever looked into it. Giving him the benefit of the doubt, I'm guessing he probably thought it was "beneath" him somehow.
So, why didn't Federal Fuckwit enlist? He's apparently healthy enough to blow up the White House, so it's not a medical condition...
Spoken like a true coward who sat on his ass at home while volunteering others to go die. You are the embodiment of the hawk stereotype. And no, unless you were ever in the military, don't pretend you know the fuck about anything when you want to go invade other countries.
Garamet is one of those people who don't die no matter what kind of curse you put on her. We just have to accept that she's a witch and roll with it.
You realize you're calling her a witch, but you're the one trying to put the curse on her? Yyyyeah, keep up the good work, kid. With this level of success, I've no doubt someday you'll be hawking copper arthritis bracelets.
I might agree with that. While I own a shotgun I've never been a gun nut. Or a believer that civilians have a right to state of the art sidearms and long guns.
A link isn't needed, we all know your history on this. You kept wailing an moaning about on how you would join if given a chance, and when it became available you made excuses on why you couldn't and wouldn't join. We all remember your lines of BS and your excuses.
Isn't it amazing what bone-deep fear a well-expressed contrary opinion instills in them? Their world is divided into "Fuck, yeahs!" and "barking moonbats." It's no wonder they're so terrified the only thing they can do is wish death on anyone who doesn't fall into one of those two categories.
Like the family one...and honestly, that's the biggest reason why many even stay: healthcare is free, housing is provided for, and 80k from Uncle Sam to put the one studious kid of the bunch through college. I mean, Dayton is too much of an arrogant know it all that I'm sure he'd gotten the boot before any of those benefits were put to use, but there you go.
