"Came out of left field" is precisely the explanation: Wordin has vile hatred for conservatives and since shootER is somewhat conservative (it doesn't take much to earn Wordin's complete condemnation), he saw it as a chance to jump on someone he disagrees with politically.

If he had just said it was racist, people would have told him he was wrong and that he should get over himself, and that would be the end of it. But by making it a RL threat, he showed his true nature: a small, hate-driven man whose "tough talk" on interent is way out of proportion with his actual understanding of situations.

Remember, this is the guy who likes to post parody articles as real news stories, as long as they seem to condemn conservatives. This is not someone who is known for his stunning ability to really assess what someone writes.

I have always considered Turdin's condemnation to be the finest sort of praise.
