The extension of this is that the way a politician treats refugees, the homeless, and others without power shows how they would treat you if they could.
I responded adequately. You're not going to corner me to endorsing a generic formula where you can cast anyone as "oppressed" and expect my support of killing their "oppressors."
You said if, you didn't respond to the articles showing what happened. Do you think that the articles adequately describe what happened? Yes or no? Do you think that it was at all right for those women to be imprisoned for as long as they were? (Note that Rittenhouse spent almost no time behind bars.)
Actually, the sentiment about the left here might be correct. In a relative sense the US does have a high standard of living. That is relative to the third world, and within some of the classes within the US. It is funny that vision and dental are not part of healthcare despite seeing and the mouth being quite important to the health of the person who has to deal with problems in both. Interestingly they are probably one of our cheapest and easiest things to treat. I do not like dental bills, but for the horrible problems I have 20k would cover it and then some. Vision wise I just got 2 pairs of glasses, an exam, and what will be at least a years worth of contacts for 400 dollars. What would it actually cost to cover vision and dental from a government perspective?
You touched on this, but I think the variability of living standards in the US is far larger than that of other "leading" (pick your favorite metric) countries. So both can be right.
