I do not want it said that all the major options wasn't represented.

So, hopefully, this will be the last poll on the subject and we can move on with whatever the results are.

The Seattle process or Seattle way is a term stemming from the political procedure in Seattle and King County, and to a lesser extent other cities and the Washington state government. The term has no strict definition but refers to the pervasively slow process of dialog, deliberation, participation, and municipal introspection before making any decision and the time it takes to enact any policy. An early definition came from a 1983 editorial in the Seattle Weekly, the usual Seattle process of seeking consensus through exhaustion."

I think it should be renamed Wordforge process.

People were complaining before because all the options weren't represented, and they're not represented here either. Nor can people select multiple options, which would remove all possible objections to the list-all-options method.

Order2Chaos already gave the best way to run the poll here:

Seems a little silly to run another incomplete poll instead of just finally doing a thorough one.

Seriously how many fucking votes are we going to have? How many more weeks is Tamar going to keep WF drama at the top of the Red Room?

Apparently we will vote until everyone is so sick of this shit that she gets the result she wants. Can we at least get that Day Care if this is going to be WF for perpetuity under Tamar?

    Holy hell! ROTFL...

    :garamet:

I knew it. These polls will only end when the old rep system is reinstalled and the crybabies (Muad etc...) have it their way. I knew it from the beginning.

Ah fuck it. Reinstall the old rep system already and put and and to this misery. Because otherwise, there will be a "poll Ten" soon.

    Well done, Tamar. Well done.

Well, they probably are, but spread through a whole bunch of different polls in a way that makes it almost impossible to glean anything useful from the results.

NuRep was my idea and you think I want old Rep back?

I don't care which system we have.

Somebody else make this poll that will finally be the "fair" one and I will sticky that fucker so we can get this shit over with.

It's definitely time to ban Tamar from starting new polls.

Mitt Romney had self-deportation; Tamar can have a self-partial-banning.

All right, I'll start a complete one if nobody else does. What are the options?

-- Keep NuRep (positive points only)
-- Go back to the old rep system (positive and negative points)
-- Rep for comments only, no point values at all
-- Turn off the system entirely

Any others under discussion? Should the "Go back to the old system but reset it once a year" option be on there? Or if you want to make repwar hard but still have a visual indication when somebody's truly a world-class idiot and/or asshole, maybe have positives worth +10 points and negatives worth -1?

    Fuck off.

You haven't even been here and you don't know shit about what has been going on with this board recently and you come in swinging.

Had you being here you'd have seen that many opinions have changed. Tamar is the one who started this shit. And everyone knows we aren't going back to the old rep no matter what the fucking poll in this thread says. The poll is a waste of fucking time.

I say get rid of rep and the comments function. Rip the whole damn thing out. Fuck the polls and just do it.

I want old rep for a month, then nurep for a month, then rip it out for a month, then everyone max green for a month, then everyone max red for a month, then just comments for a month. Then repeat the above for the next 6 months. I think this would be the best.

The very first poll taken said to keep the original rep system.

That was ignored and Lanz unilaterally replaced it.

I'm not sure why we're taking new polls at all if she wants to shop polls.

    :bang:

If I wanted a certain result, I would have just done it. I didn't need anyone's permission to do what I want.

I am trying to be as fair as I possibly can be to as many people as possible. Whatever the ultimate result is, be it this poll or if tafkats does that multiple option, multiple choice one people seem to think would be fairer...whatever wins is it...but everyone will know they chose it.

That very first poll was not taken to decide policy...it was just to see what the general concensus was...which is why it did not say that it was for deciding policy like these polls clearly stated.

Except that the first two polls you said would decide policy obviously didn't decide policy as here we are going into week three of this bullshit.

Democracy on a message board is bad enough, if you are going to do it though at least do it competently, what did you take electioneering tips from Florida or something?

Because I am trying to be fair about it.

If that pisses you off...

It's a needless fucking distraction. Rep isn't a big deal. We don't need 12 threads on it every six months and 1000 pages of discussion. One more god damn poll and I'm voting with Zombie; rip the fucker out and be done with it completely. Forever. Fucking ridiculous. Two fucking weeks already of this shit dominating the Red Room.

And let me guess, it stays up until half way through next week?

Oh, and if there IS another poll and rip the fucker out ISN'T an option I'm gonna bitch and moan until we get a FIFTH fucking poll where I can vote for it. :bailey:
