    It's 1:10 in the afternoon. I'm sitting on my futon, in a bathrobe and socks, drinking water out of a Coca-Cola glass, smoking a cigarette, and waiting to get in the shower because I have an appointment with an insurance adjuster in a little under an hour.

    Sitting on my futon again. Eating sausage patties and fried potatoes. Drinking a Pepsi. Knowing I will regret these activities in a few short hours. Watching some toddler trash the living room with his toys. Still a mite bitter because the little bastard knocked my first plate of sausage onto the floor before I could eat any of it, and I had to pitch them and get more.

    The only credit card I have is for Chalmers Big & Tall Man's Shop. It's a 7 outlet chain in the Pacific Northwest. Great stuff.

    Unfortunately it doesn't do us any good here.

    Two cooking projects for the day:
    1. Grill 2 pounds of buffalo on the George Foreman grill, and freeze as appropriate for the week (easy).
    2. Make a 3 pound buffalo and potato pot roast (easy).

    Hard: avoid transferring the buffalo bacteria to my keyboard.

    He's a friend of my sister's kid. That is to say, my sister's friend had a kid, and this is he. He was in my living room because he visits my sister a lot. She has three to four kids that come in and out of this house on visits, and none of them are hers.

    I'm sitting on the couch, reclined, drinking a Pepsi. Just started the 1981 Chevy Chase movie "Modern Problems." Never seen it before, but I love comedies from that era.

    If anyone has seen it, feel free to tell me if it's worth the watch. My other options were "The Man With Two Brains" and "The Man With One Red Shoe." Haven't seen either of those yet either, but I enjoy Hanks and old Steve Martin comedies.
