President Trump's Tweets about "the squad" show why he must go.

It was too good to be true. Four of the highest profile freshman Democratic congressman feuding highly publicly and with greater and greater vitriol with the leader of the Democratic Party in Congress. Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

But President Trump just couldn't leave it alone. He just couldn't stand to let other people have the spotlight even when they were his political enemies in the process of destroying each other. He had to come out with some horrendously stupid "tweets" that not only made him look stupid and racist but immediately caused Democrats to rally together.

    1) First off Trumps tweets were horrendously stupid. Three of the four members of the so called "squad" Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, born in New York; Rashida Tlaib, born in Michigan; Ayanna Presley, born in Massachusetts were born in the U.S. anyway. Not just in outlying territories like Puerto Rico but in actual major U.S. states. Cortez in the same state Trump is from. Tlaib from a state the president desperately needs to win reelection.

    2) If Trump simply kept his idiot mouth shut in all likelihood the Dems would have continued to self destruct making any kind of unity a year from now that much more difficult to achieve. Trump might've been able to pull off a massive electoral vote and a substantial popular vote victory in 2020. While I think he still might win I'm afraid it will be closer and more difficult that will embolden the Democrats even more in his second term.

    3) This is a perfect example of an "unforced political error". There was no reason whatsoever for Trump to enter this fray. None of the controversy between Pelosi and the "squad" affected him directly. No reason at all for him to get involved. No excuse for him to "counterpunch".

    4) We need a Republican president with some damned political skills and common sense. Not to mention self discipline.

The major takeaway from this thread is that @Dayton3 is slow as fuck on catching on.

Trump racist? No. You don’t say.

I didn't say he is racist. I don't believe he is. But none of the tweeting about the squad was remotely necessary is detrimental to anything he hopes to do in the future.

But you still don’t understand why he does these things right? Just so we’re clear. You are actually baffled by his behavior?

No it is pretty predictable. He is an emotionally stunted piece of trash. He can't stand the idea of that people are talking about someone else and not him. Which is why we need a Republican president (my preference) with some political skills and self control.

How is he not? He clearly believes being American is synonymous with being white, and non-whites need to go back to their shithole countries.

Interesting. I start a thread attacking President Trump yet I get more negative reps than positive ones.

Proves the intellectual dishonesty of most of the other members here.

Why do you always label someone complaining about rep as "whining"? Oh yeah you don't label anyone else complaining about rep as "whining". Only me.

You're still just pissed off because I said I knew more about some things regarding the military than you did.

Look, up till now I don't think I have ever directly called President Trump a racist. This is because what he is doesn't matter to me as much as what he does. He has unquestionably made racism a major component of his political strategy, and done so very effectively. But as certain people never tire of pointing out, we had no way of knowing his innermost feelings, which according to them is the only place racism can occur. So I haven't called him a racist. But after these tweets I don't think there's any room to deny it anymore. He has shown us his innermost feelings and they are very racist.

Bullshit. Obama divided this country by stoking racial divisions and hatred for the police. Non-leftist minorities will support Trump in 2020 much more so than in 2016. Why? They're working in greater numbers than ever before.

What have the democrats ever done for them? Oh yeah, they've turned almost every major city they run into 3rd world shitholes.

I was in the military (22+ years worth!) and both of you probably know more about "the military" than I do when it comes to technical names/numbers for equipment and units and battles and whatnot.

This is the only part of that drivel I care to address. Utterly false, of course. The problem is that there are a minority, but still a significant number of Americans, who could never accept Obama as President, or even as a fellow American, because their vision of America is of a white ethnostate. That's where the whole birther thing came from, and that's what lies beneath Trump's assertion that three native born Americans and a naturalized American citizen don't really belong here.

Is comment that "Trayvon Martin could've been his son" was NOT a fair and reasonable response in a volatile situation.

The self-described "Excellent history teacher" in unable to use quotes properly.

The sentence you wrote is replete with grammatical and citation errors.

The actual quote is as follows: "You know, when Trayvon Martin was first shot I said that this could have been my son". So, in order to properly attribute the phrase to Obama, you need to say something along the lines of:

Was the comment that Trayvon Martin "could have been [his] son" a fair and reasonable response in a volatile situation?

I expect better of someone who describes himself as an "Excellent history teacher".
